It's been cold enough for fires here in Arizona (no, it's not all desert), so I can imagine any further above the equator is a tad bit cooler. My brother in Minnesota had snow on his birthday, I think it was the 4th of Oct.

Yeah, walked outta a shop last friday, and that not hail not snow fell for about 5 mins then stopped. Gonna insulate ma hoose in fur....

@Sketts...I remember waking up in Nigg on May 27th (my dad's birthday) 1989, I think....SNOW up to the sills of my car had been dumped overnight! Yay...no work that day and gave my dad a good belly laugh for his birthday while he was basking in glorious sunshine in sunny Anglesey!
