I think I remember you posting somewhere that it was pretty major and complicated as you were getting more than one thing done. I apologise if I have this wrong.....I hope they had a look at their Haine's manual for a quick refresher!

Hiya & thank you very much for your kind wishes. That's really nice of you all!

Went in at mid-day yesterday - 1st in theatre at 2pm. Surgeon was ace - took twice as long as planned due to complications, but he was very pleased with himself as he still achieved it via key-hole procedures, so just 5 small incisions that won't take long to heal.

I knew what they'd be looking for to release me early, so ate a sandwich last night (even though I couldn't swallow properly); and dragged myself out of bed & crawled to the bathroom on my own, so that when 2 people arrived to carry me there, I could just send them away. Earliest possible escape was imperative, so that I could satisfy my craving for a cigarette!

Lied to them about having ceased smoking 48 hr's before op as instructed - smoked till 1 hr before. I AM Waynetta Slob.

Got out at 9am today.

They said they'd had to use a lot of anaesthetic during the procedure, so will take 48 hrs to completely disperse - hence, am quite wobbly & weird, but in a nice way.

Sarah is looking after me nicely.

Best if I refrain from any attempts at sensible posting on any serious topics till am less dizzy.
