Reminds me of the Japanese woman, I think she was in her 50's, staring at me on the train with a bit of a poker face. Most of the people in Japan (especially women ) were very friendly and receptive, but this one particular woman...unnerved me. I should have given her my best toothy grin

Don't know if this is relevant here but all branches of the British military have been, as from 15th December. been put on a 25 day enforced stand down.
In other words all Army, Navy and RAF personel both at home and overseas from top brass to cleaners are to 'go home'. This excludes personel in Afghanistan and Iraq. Everyone is expected to 'work from home'...yeah I can just see RAF techy's fixing a fighter jet in their back gardens!!!!
Whitehall building (the hub) will have no personel in it.

This was reported on the sky or BBC news. This is totally unprecedented and the government claim it's to 'save money'.

Also as from next week, the usual stand by time is 10 days, next week it is reduced to 3......

This stinks!

Army shuts down for Christmas

THE British Army has been ordered to take an extended 25-day Christmas holiday or “work from home” in an attempt to cut its gas and electricity bills.

In a move that former military commanders say is unprecedented, a leaked memo from a general says all military and civilian personnel in land forces — amounting to 110,000 men and women — are to take “block leave” for 25 days from December 14 until January 7.

The decision means all army barracks, Territorial Army buildings and other military sites in Britain will close for almost four weeks to provide “an opportunity for utility savings”.

Although it says the closure is in recognition of the extra workload for the Olympics, which involved 18,000 personnel...

So anyway - saving on utility bills by sending everyone home. A likely story. It sounds odd to me - but I don't know what the real motives might be Irre.

It does sound odd...how much are they hoping to save? How much is Afganistan costing? Whatever saving they're hoping to make sounds like a drop in the ocean and irrelevant in the great scheme of things.

I can't wait for friday! I've waited for this day since 2008 I think... I'll buy few beers, fill my pipe and watch the sky fall. Or something, what ever, most likely it's going to be just a usual friday.

If nothing spectacular will happen, I wonder how crazy conspiracy forums will go, there would be a ton of "I told you so" threads. Remember few years back when David Wilcock was boasting how he's going to invite a lot of people to his "I told you so" party at new years eve.. People here don't seem to either know or care about 2012 hype, all's going as usual, no empty shelves in grocery shops, no high gun sales, nobody is even digging a bunker for themselves, how boring.
