My dad told me when I was young, that if you sound a tuning fork down the mouthpiece of a telephone, it will cause the person on the other end to suffer a burst ear-drum. I've not tried it out yet, but wondered if anyone (Feather?) knows if it's true, since he told me all kinds of rubbish.
