I would say anyone who gets 'knighted' by the British crown/queen is because they are helping the crown in one way or another...this guy was one who was knighted...and supporting jewish people living in Palestine..note the dates...

Her sister, Henriette (or Hannah) (1783–1850), married Nathan Mayer Rothschild (1777–1836), for whom Montefiore's firm acted as stockbrokers. Nathan Rothschild headed the family's banking business in Britain, and the two brothers-in-law became business partners. Montefiore retired from his business in 1824, and used his time and fortune for communal and civic responsibilities.
Physically imposing at 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m), he was elected Sheriff of London in 1837 and served until 1838.
He was also knighted that same year by Queen Victoria and received a baronetcy in 1846 in recognition of his services to humanitarian causes on behalf of the Jewish people.

There are also Rothschilds who are knighted and they along with montefiore have the two main streets in Israel named after them.
To me its clear the current UN led power structure had been wanting the creation of Israel for a while, and we know once they want to do something they are capable of pretty much anything to make it happen. Just like when they decided they wanted Libya it wasnt long before Gaddaffi was being dragged thru the streets, butt poked with sticks and beaten to death, and of course they made sure it was filmed for all to see.

I know the military industrial complex likes to make money though, among a lot of other thoughts i have on this...including centralised control of the globe and its resources...and they will do pretty much anything to make these things happen.
So we have rich knighted bankers and British Prime ministers supporting this in the 19th century, so hence we can safely assume the British Crown was supporting the creation of Israel...then ww2 leads to the creation of Israel...so i can see why some of these stories come about.
