I was looking at a pretty cottage near here - I think it's a bit bigger than that one, but it's a mid terrace with a tiny private patio and only a small communal garden. It's in a nice village, but doesn't have surroundings as gorgeous as the Portugese one - going for a few bob under £300,000.00!

Most red brick sardine tins in the uk with a postage stamp for a garden are barely worth the bricks. Perhaps 4 or 5k and they should go down in value as they become older and damaged. Such is logic.

Yeah I'm sure everyone would want to see houses priced like that, there'd be no bank loans and it'd still be hard to amass that much cash but at least it would be possible rather than impossible so to speak.
