Are you suggesting that people shouldn't be able to make a profit from their enterprise and hard work in regards to buying a decrepit property cheap, then doing it up and selling it on for a profit (as the owners of the 3 bed property above have obviously done) ?

Because that would be stifling free enterprise wouldn't it.

Not every property in the world is new, not everyone wants to buy/rent/live in a new one, and not everyone wants to buy and then live in just one house all their lives. There has to be a housing market... ;)

Depends if they consider giving it a lick of paint and then slapping 100k extra on the price as being reasonable. :D

Its possible to extend/improve property and for price to reflect that, I would simply want there to be a static economy with no usury so that market pricing can actually work.

No-one should be in wage slavery for their entire working life, if I didn't pay rent alone for example I would be stupidly rich very rapidly....

Replace rent with mortgage its the same deal ;)
