Just out of interest, please excuse my ignorance but I thought requests for moderation had to be put to a democratic vote? :pop:

What made you think that?

It's always been the case that the OP can request their thread be locked. Not something I personally agree with so would no doubt side with you if you were to challenge the current rule on thread locking.

I say thank you to the mods for locking the thread in question.

It was started as a thread to discuss empathy and ended up with things being said that showed no empathy at all (yes gue I am looking at you) and could in fact have upset people. A hideous irony that I didn't want to continue.

If you want to start a vote on the OP's 'right' to ask for a thread to be locked gue, please do. Whilst you're at it you could wind your fucking neck in too, your pomposity seems to know no bounds.
