Now I know this site is not for everyday questions regarding bedding but could anyone recommend a really firm pillow for me?

I'm having a pillow dilemma. My pillows are old and floppy and offer no support so I'm looking for new pillows. But every pillow I try out in store just is a bunch of crap and offers no support at all.

IIm close to buying , what are descibed as, medium firm pillows from The White Company but they are £89 a pillow (I need 6)


Do any of you have really good pillows and if you do where did you get them. I am looking for firm support

Have a look at Dunlopillow. My mum had them and my girls loved them as they are so firm....I personally hated them.
You could also have a look at those 'shapped' pillows. I had one years ago and I found it brilliant. My daughter still has hers and swears by it as it keeps her headaches away that she gets if she uses 'normal' pillows.

I use Tempur pillows from £88.00 to £100.00 from John Lewis...Yes, they are expensive, but very comfortable.

Thanks Jane and Pheony .....I went into John Lewis and put my head on loads of them but nothing seemed firm enough

I like a solid pillow .

I will take a look at Dunlopillow (have not heard of that) and the pillows I'm thinking about buying are tempur

If you like a firm one dawn, try a memory foam.... but a decent one, not a cheap one.

I personally prefer a duckdown feather pillow and just got two new ones last week as it goes. I like a pillow I can mould about and they're perfect for that.

As I tend to like soft cuddly pillows I am not really any help. I find the firmest thing to put my head on is always the floor.

abs told me the best thing to look for in a new pillow is biteabiltiy.

A hundred quid on a pillow....good god you must be mad

Seriously, get cheap ones from the pound shop. They go all flat and lumpy after a while, but you just bin em and get new ones.

Yeah if my bonce/neck wanted me to spend a 100 squid on a pillow I'd have serious words. Thankfully my neck isn't brass and can sleep happily with or with out pillows

I only use one floppy, feather pillow, while th'usband uses 3.

They cost around £2 each and stay nice and comfy for months.
