Have you ever noticed a strange deja vu thought or a detachment like feeling while speaking to or being around certain individuals, and your mind experiences more clarity for a few seconds, this one person I know creates this type of atmosphere at times when I am around him for some reason.

The only thing that may be more different about him above the regular is his proclaimed strong belief in Jesus Christ, but not to the point of preaching or trying to convert anyone, he just has a real strong belief

I get Deja Vu often but never about people, mostly regarding situations or conversations that feel like they have happened before.
I read once that scientists think it might be caused by a chemical imbalance between the visual or auditory centers of the brain and the long term memory, but then neurologists and psychiatrists always fall back on the old chemical imbalance excuse for anything they don't understand.
As there are no tests for measuring chemical levels in the brain it makes a good catch all explanation.

I've met a few people with what I'll call in this context 'Christ consciousness' (that's not to say they were/are Christian) and have found them to induce a kind of resonance in me that certainly resulted in great lucidity. Once or twice, so much so that this illusory reality fell away completely.

I haven't been around people enough to have ever felt that kind of effect.

What I'm referring to is those people you come across who are genuinely spiritual. For real you know? People that have got on top of their ego, connected with their hearts and wander around the world knowing and acting from a place of love.
When I've met them (which is very rare) I've found that being with them has uplifted my own consciousness. Brought me more into the moment so to speak.
On a couple of occasions, the connection or whatever was so strong and so profound that the physical world kind of faded out. One time we ended up as disembodied 'heads' in the vacuum, another time the person and I went to a 'desert island' beach that was as tangible and 'real' as the keyboard I am typing on.

No, I'm inclined to think that some people get to a state of being where they are in a much bigger 'reality' than most of us perceive.
Shaman, Sufi, whatever. I think those people are able to lift other's state of awareness too. I don't think good or evil comes into it tbh.

Did he imagine it? And him being so centred and into his power, he induced it in your mind too?

I guess that yes, it was induced by him into my consciousness. We had conversations but they seemed telepathic, I don't remember lips moving or anything.

I felt very calm, it was a blissful experience. The Island experience wasn't the first time so although out of the ordinary it wasn't like woooooaaahhhh. It's fair to say I was pretty used to altered states of consciousness by then

I get that feeling around all people with glasses or tall with long noses. I have no idea why.

That's very interesting. I've noticed sometimes that people are drawn to a certain look and I have wondered about that.

That could be. I know for me some looks are comforting and others are intimidating. It could be some kind of instinct, i suppose. What we need is a good psychological study.

A few years ago a nurse who was working in a children's cancer ward

A few monks and sisters that I meet where I go on a retreat to

My brother

(buddhist, catholic, atheist, respectively)
