I see this as a truism, not a criticism.

True to a degree but a bit broad and vague. Like saying Davids and Bobs see things differently. You might be English and find Americans who see things like you.

Interesting thread topic DG, just not sure if were talking about a superficial thing or a more in depth look at some topic.

This all American boy sees things differently

This all Englishman sees things differently, he was once the owner of guns for pleasure and a user in wartime and now sees things differently, it very much depends upon who pulls the trigger and for what reason and for who and why.

Rather than a truism DG, I'd say it's a generalization ;) One that members of even this little forum, disprove.

Gun ownership volatility has a lot to do with a persons location as to how safe and under control a situation stays, so the more dangerous a environment a person that owns a gun is in, the more likelihood of a incident ocurring.

This factor even has much to do with keeping guns away from unknowledgeable, irresponsible, or the very young in my opinion, so if you really believe your life or the lives of your family could be jeopardized, and you need armed protection, your top thought before getting a gun and during owning this weapon, is training and learning the safe procedures for storage and keeping it away from the young in your family.
