Do it for the local animal shelter

Every Time I go to the animal shelter and see the poor and loving potential pets it breaks my heart

i know right, it sucks to see them in cages. i hate it. i wish i could take them all to homes but i already got 4 animals. 5 including me, cept i know how to open doors.

A lot of people don't respect animals, treat them like cute toys to play with until they have to clean up the shit and all that, take them for walks...then the novelty wears off and they take them to the animal shelter and just dump them.
When you take on an animal, you're adding a new member to your family, for life. They're not a fuckin accessory.

I can't stand the way some people buy a dog, and leave it out in the yard/garden, for it's whole life. The poor thing never sees the inside of the house. Our dog used to sleep on me bed at night, he was a biggun as well, a fluffy, floppy eared, three parts German Shepherd. I've had loads of cats in the past as well sleepin' on me bed.

My dog is too annoying to sleep in my bed...he'd kick me all night or roll on top of my face. He gets his own couch though.

I might like to come back as a fox, they have real cosy dens, my freind used to recue them and bread one or two over the years, even used to sleep in their hut, things is there are too many crazy people with guns and dogs.

This thread also reminds me of a day many years ago, when we had a Japanese studen staying with us, then we had a telly and were all watching pet rescue, where they were showing an opp on a pet rabbit have a complicated leg pin, and I happened to look across and he was shaking his head, we asked what was wrong and he answered, just eat the rabbit.

I don't understand what goes on in the heads or hearts of people who mistreat animals.

My dogs are part of the family, and they bring us pleasure every single day - when they're not being comical, they're being affectionate, or doing you the favour of coaxing you off your bum to go & play outside.

They're just little, but if anyone threatened us, they're give their lives up to defend us without a second's hesitation.

How could anybody not love them.

I've had cats in the past too, and tortoises & rabbits & fish. They all give more than they take.
