That video never gets old. And there's absolutely tonnes more stuff on top of that as well that couldn't fit in the video. People like to believe in fantasies, though.

Without sparking off a huge 911 debate - not what this forum needs and I have neither the time nor inclination to argue with everybody else - I think one really really important point is about the sheer sloppiness of stuff like this. To take an easy example - the 'missing trillions' was first reported way before 911 - IIRC over a year before - and it's not that the money had 'vanished' so much as their systems were in such a mess they couldn't account for exactly where it had been spent - a definite scandal but one falsely presented as an enormous coincidence when Rumsfeld talked about it the day before and falsely presented as if the money simply vanished rather than been spent but not properly accounted for. That's at best sloppy, at worst mendacious. Personally, I got fucked off with 911 theory stuff feeding me as much bullshit as it claims the govt does and it's own stories having far more holes than the official one. I mean, that vid seems to have no problem with presenting material that totally contradicts a bunch of other stuff it's saying - for example we see a shot of Peter Lance's cover up when it's talking about the 911 Commission - Vance's whole pitch is that the government could and should have prevented 911 - his work is 100% based on 19 Arabs hijacking planes and flying them into buildings - it does not square one jot with, say. armchair incredulity about people not engaging in heroics when confronted by blokes wielding Stanley knives saying they have a bomb. I hate the way the vid presents this incoherent mish-mash of factoids of varying levels of dubiousness that just do not fit together.

Y'know I just really think 911 truth stuff just does not do itself any favours by not subjecting itself to anything like the rigorous criticism it purports to aim the official story.

That's why I tend to stick to "why did wtc7 collapse?", everything else is too open to being a distraction. That question alone covers "was there a conspiracy?".
