I can relate to so much said on this topic. I am certainly much more antisocial nowadays but was always an introvert. I can pull off the appearance of an extrovert when I have to; sort of a survival skill, I think. Y'know, with the jobs I've had- server, hostess, receptionist...gotta be all peppy & people-person-y.

Really, work causes me to be more antisocial in my personal time. People are like energy vampires for introverts. It's exhausting. If I worked from home I might be more inclined to go do something social on the weekend. Though, probably for only a few hours(all day long shit makes me crazy)!

Regarding trust; always listen to your gut! I've been so naive and ignored giant red flags in so many situations just for the sake of politeness. That nagging feeling is always right!

I think you just get more pickey about who you spend time with as you get older. You might have less friends, but the quality of that friendship is generally deeper. You sort the wheat from the chaff and expend your time and energy on people who make you happy, because you realise that life's to short and precious to waste on people you don't like very much.

There's nothing wrong with having a sense of discrimination Rick. You seem like a very sensible person. I think we should all make an effort to get along with people and to be civil to each other, but we don't all have to be friends and like everyone.
