I've always wanted to post a thread like this on the Icke forum, but in general, I don't find that forum the most hospitable towards conspiracy theory non-converts, or newbies.

I've been reading the Icke forum for over a year or so, but have never read any of his books. I did watch his recent marathon speech on youtube and found it quite interesting, I've also watched/listened to some other vids of his on there.

I've also read the Gods of Eden recently too, and tonight watched that video on this site about the Sumerians/Annanuki... What I'm trying to do, after 40 years of Mainstream indoctrination, is read or watch as many alternative theories as possible, in order to get some sort of balance..

So, please link some videos or recommend some books that you think might open my eyes a bit. Also, any ones that debunk them. I found on the Icke forum, that you're often called a shill, unless you subscribe to every conspiracy theory going. Well, give me a chance..

I've been bollocked on that forum for just being on there for a laugh... all I'm really trying to do is make some sort of sense of it all. Hope you can help.

It would really depend on what you meant by 'conspiracy theory', and what you're most interested in.

As I said in the original post, I'm just generally trying to get a brain dump. Trying to get a handle on everything.
I've only recently (in the past year or so) become interested in "alternative theories", so to speak. Prior to that, I've been pretty mainstream, but have realised over time that all is not well in the world.

My interests are who owns us all, the Banking system, Freemasonry, The Rothschilds, etc. I'm also interested in the Ancient Astronauts theories, but don't really buy into it much. I suppose that I'm really concerned about Globalisation and how it will affect us in the future.

Carol Quigley has written books, and talks about how a small group of wealthy dictate the CFR, who in turn direct the various governments.

The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.

- Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope

I have to say, the reason i started questioning things was because i saw the exact same agendas unfolding in the different countries, i started to think there were common goals, even tho we are indoctrinated that the countries leadership is seperate. Not to mention i saw the leaders of either 'side' in australia talking between themselves about the people like we can be herded...and yes it was on TV. I dont think many noticed though, so they are pretty much correct. :coffee:

That was how it all kicked off for me anyway.

Tragedy & Hope: A History of the World in Our Time by Carroll Quigley is the ultimate insider admission of a secret global elite that has impacted nearly every modern historical event. Learn how the Anglo-American banking elite were able to secretly establish and maintain their global power. This massive hardcover book of 1348 pages provides a detailed world history beginning with the industrial revolution and imperialism through two world wars, a global depression and the rise of communism. Tragedy & Hope is the definitive work on the world's power structure and an essential source material for understanding the history, goals and actions of the New World Order.

If you want to know about the banking system, I'd go back and watch as many episodes of the Keiser Report as possible, all of which are on Youtube. Zeitgeist Moving Forward is also quite good on this, but there is a particularly key sequence here:

If you look here:

www.youtube.com/user/BreakdownRadioShow/videos?flow=grid&view=0

The first four two episodes in particular deal with the prevailing socio-economic system and how it was created, without getting into anything contentious. It's all really documented stuff that is just a matter of fact.

I'm not a big believer that the Rothschilds have this hugely significant position. I'm sure they're pretty big players in a lot of financial and banking stuff, and more significant than supposed, but I don't think they control the world as is often suggested, I think the reality is a bit more nuanced and complex than that. However, if you read "Tragedy and Hope" by Carroll Quigley, he certainly states that the Rothschilds have a position of significance, along with many other banking families. It is worth paying attention to Quigley due to his privileged position, the fact that Bill Clinton specifically mentioned him in a speech, and the fact that the system he said would come into being, which was what was desired by the central banksters, is almost precisely the system that exists today. Some of the videos I've pointed to go into this, and discuss some of Quigley's material, but Tragedy and Hope is a useful book, but not a good place to start because it's massive and very dry.

I also recommend to people watching Century of the Self as well:

Which goes into some of the important ways in which the socio-economic structure, and some elements of mass psychology, are used to keep the population docile.

That would be a pretty good start. Freemasonry, I don't really get into, but you can say with absolute confidence that high ranking people in virtually every significant sphere that you can name pretty often turn out to be Freemasons. I don't really get into all the ancient history stuff at all, even though it can be interesting.

Once upon a time a lot of stupid people started to do as they were told and began to do all sorts of stupid things like exchanging tokens which had to be approved in advance by those whose orders they were following. Even though it was blatantly unfair and biased they carried on doing it. Eventually some people couldn't afford the basics of life and starved to death.
The stupidity continued to the point where people where doing anything they were told even to the point of hating each other and having lots of differing viewpoints that were all stupid and wrong anyway and were always based on the viewpoint that it was this leaders they needed to follow or this other one. Very few of them ever did anything for themselves. Very few of them wanted responsibility.
Even the leaders didn't want responsibility.

Eventually they followed orders to the point of nuking the planet out of existence.

The End.
