Seriously though, This scene must be very common in jungle and forest canopy areas.
It's just more obvious when they've used the posts and cabling network to anchor their communal web.

A friend once asked a few of us to go & stay at his old house with him for a bit in the beautiful Lake District, but I couldn't make it.

2 of my friends went though, & said they were sleeping together in this creepy room up in the attic, and lying there chatting in bed, when they became aware of a slight noise - a bit like rain-drops falling around them - and lay there for a while trying to figure out what it was.

Then one of them lit a candle, and nearly had a heart attack. The ceiling had become completely covered with a writhing mass of little spiders, and the sound was lots of them parachuting down onto the bed. They fled for their lives, screaming & my mate, Natalie, says she still has nightmares about it.
