I went to see Lord of the Dance when it was on in Preston. I don't know if you'd count that as a musical.

I was asked to mime/mouth in my school musical at primary .....wankers thought I couldn't sing.....It was the Sound of Music , sound of prejudged teachers who can't spot talent when they hear it.

Perhaps this childhood slight on my singing ability has turned me into a musical freak? I have tickets for the Lion King too and that doesn't even come here until 2014

Lord of the dance is musical but in a leg sort of way

I could sing high and low notes back then and once got a lead part in HMS Pinafore as Ralph Rackstraw. Had a bandana, 3/4 breeches and a bloody moustach to fit the package :P

I adored the teacher, Mr Brown...jhado will remember him as dearly as I do I'm guessing.

With a few exceptions I prefer to just listen to the music rather than have to sit through lots of wooden acting as well.

I'm loathe to admit that if there was one of those dreary reality shows to cast Rocky Horror I would be there in an instant. :emb:
I'm a bit old to play Brad but I'd kill for the chance to be Riff-Raff. :)

I couldn't agree more Psketts, Mr Brown was an awesome teacher, the best. :notworthy:

No. His soul focus of attention on me was making me bloody sing all the time :D

He was a special person.

And he always smelled of pipe tobacco. Possibly, probably, the best teacher I ever had :)

Anyway Skazetto, I'm gonna have to ban you now, for taking this topic to :jakd: territory.

Sorry, no hard feelings I hope...... :hahano:

P.S. I've been to see the miserables, and the phantom, in london. Do they count as musicals? (Oh yeah, saw Evita too)

However my fav it Fiddler On The Roof....I just wish I could have seen it when it was on the London stage before Topol died :(

The full movie if you haven't seen it

But please don't come back with remarks about jews etc....forget that and just try and appreciate that this happens to all sorts of races of people everywhere to this day.
