I could be getting a bit muddled up, but I think he did one previous to this which was about what was wrong with the system.......and thats precisely what's wrong...it's a system......schooling does not bring out the very best in people through what 'they' call education.

I never really put effort into exams and as a result (pun intended) I never got that high powered job, Having said that though the people with degrees get told that they lack experience or are over qualified. I think I prefer warehouse work or something to being an accountant or something anyway. People do judge you by your job or lack of job though, they also judge drop outs or those who never went on to get degrees etc. Which is very much an economic issue also.

The education system is flawed like most systems are but I remember certain teachers very fondly for what they taught me. I worry about the education system in Georgia a lot.

Ron Paul is out of politics and launching a 'Homeschooling' system....I'll see if I can find a link. Also you have different 'systems' in the UK...Montessori is one....where children are encouraged and 'taught' within the parameters of what they are naturally gifted/talented in.

There was a home school test sheet doing the rounds that had questions like what day did god create dinosaurs etc. Not all home schoolers use that though. Just scary to think about.
