I never really see any annoying "pigs" as you put it on the streets these days, were those two policewomen from manchester that got blown up with a grenade annoying...

PC Nicola Hughes, 23, and PC Fiona Bone, 32, were called to Abbey Gardens in Mottram to investigate what turned out to be a false report of a burglary.

Having not been there at the time, I can't say for sure whether they were 'annoying' or not although I'll take a stab at guessing they weren't on that particular occasion.

I'm also glad you don't see any annoying police where you are, or anywhere else, that's nice for you.... however, it isn't the same for everyone I'm sure you'll agree :P

So that's my two choices then?

The thugs that call themselves police who would smash your head wide open without a seconds thought if given the order to do so, or a trained killer with a big fuck off gun?

Given that's how I see my options am I supposed to be satisfied with either choice?

And you're having a dig at me for calling them a name? :P

I have been on the receiving end of scum thugs, and they were not police..unless it was a set up...

:bash:

What make's you think I am having a dig,I am just expressing my opinion...is that allowed...there are good cops and bad cops, just like there are good civvys and bad civvys...I suppose it all depends who you want running the show...

I also am of the opinion that the days of our freindly bobby on the beat have long since passed us and that the current world breed of bobby is first and formost trained on how to be a cunt before anything else. They are no longer there to protect the people as there main objective but are in fact, there to serve and protect their masters.

That view didn't happen overnight but it most certainly did happen.

I think the police do a wonderful job, and you are only against them if you have something to hide.

How about the normal decent person in the street who has to contend with immorality and dangers presented by both ruthless nutters & equally ruthless police?

Apologies if I've picked it up wrong, but LG that read as though you thought people were referring to the 'pigs' as annoying, rather than recognising that people are expressing incredulity and foreboding at the proposed introduction of the annoying of police being classed as a criminal offence.

Jhado, I've got something to hide. It's called my privacy.

Two more dots at the end, and all becomes clear...

The problem with passing a law which includes annoying a police officer as a crime is its not specific enough and open to an individuals definition/interpretation

So the law could be easily abused.

I do know where you are coming from spaghetti,..long gone are the days of dock green,sadly..The 1956 episode, "Pound of Flesh" starts with Dixon commenting that if he arrested every husband who 'socks' his wife he'd always be doing overtime...in the CID at Dock Green, and he was married to Dixon's 23-year-old daughter, Mary, in the 19th episode, "Father-in-Law" (1 September 1956)...

Plotlines in this period included the suspected suicide of a police officer, a gangland killing and the shooting of a suspect by police officers using firearms...

Yeah masters and servants,I am sure there is a lot of that around, espe cially in high up criminal organisations...put it this way no crime, no need for the law....Crime suits TPTB...Just like Oil suits vehicles that poison's everyone...

if the so called 'good cops' really existed they'd have policed the 'bad cops' out of existence, they haven't ergo they are 'bad cops'.

They're employed to do a job. Damned right they should be called on when required.

That hardly compensates for, or justifies, the kind of disgusting behaviours exhibited that people are objecting to, does it! They are supposed to be honest, reasonable and respectable while upholding the law, and not be above the it themselves and making a complete flaming mockery of it by abusing people and their positions of trust and authority! Where's the logic in suggesting they shouldn't be summoned to assist in the very circumstances that they're employed for? That's ridiculous. Try making an insurance claim for burgled property if you don't have a crime reference number too.
