Gentlemen...I give you an entire thread devoted to making the most of that sexy bod.
No talk of women's bits here, if you please (this includes you, Psketti).
I'll start the ball rolling...
Waist sizes:
Did you know that most retailers sell trousers and shorts with an extra two to three inches? Now, ordinarily, we'd all love an extra couple of inches, but if you aren't wise to this little sales trick, it can leave your new slacks looking like a sack of spuds. I only recently discovered this myself.
Next time you're purchasing said garments (assuming your mother still doesn't buy your clothes for you, in which case, get out of this thread right, fucking now) bear this in mind. If you've a phobia of changing rooms, it may be worth investing in a sewing tape-measure. Measure your waist (wherever you like to wear it), halve that measurement, then hold the trousers taught and measure one half. Double this for the actual waist allowance and hey-presto!
The reasons for this sad fact of life are many-fold but here are some:
Sweat-shops just ain't what they used to be. Measurements can often be wrong or labels attached incorrectly;
Tricksy clothes manufacturers have cottoned on the the fact that we're a vain bunch of bastards, and would much rather part with our cash if we can cheerfully declare "still a 30", when in fact we're closer to a 32.
Manufacturers also make allowance for trends, such as wearing slacks and trousers lower around the hips, rather than the actual waist.
Happy shopping! Don't forget to post your pics here...especially Hugo.
