I think this is a good idea.

If a person is long term unemployed and they don't have a driving license they should be offered driving lessons for no fee.

This will give more work to the driving instructors and make more job choices available to the long term unemployed and also allow them to widen their job search as they could travel further.

Payed for by government or local government of course.

It would also give the long term unemployed a better chance of becoming self employed.

I see the first major problem with this good idea of yours....

Most unemployed can't afford to run a car let alone buy one.

lol true, but there's no harm in the idea I suppose.
Its a bloody useful skill. Most still haven't mastered it even after theyve passed the test though

They never would or will help out, they're there only to help you get by....not too get ahead
