I'd personally be all for it if the 'justice' system wasn't so god damn unreliable, and everyone was treated with absolute equality.
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma,
a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Same here, for cruel & horrific crimes. But I'd never trust the law, ever, to handle things honestly & responsibly. If they bring it back in, I think it would be with the intention of abusing it, in order to wipe out dissenters, and whistle-blowers.
