For what my view's worth, Scotland historically has always been a nation of 'divided loyalties' shall we say. Those of your William Wallace ilk who I regard as the true Scots, and then the other 50% who tend to 'chum it up' with whoever will line their pockets best from Royalists, to the French, the Spanish and now at this time the English. My biggest concern is that Scotland is being given this last ditch attempt at its own governance which unless the Scots sort out the narrow minded, arse licking, yellow bellied amongst them, will lose this life changing vote and for ever more be told to "put up and shut up".

I just fail to see what difference it makes, you're replacing one govt with another one and thats about it basically.
You can expect the same empty promises from scottish politicians as you'll get from the brits. In fact, whatever the brits do the scots will do too a while afterwards, they do the same in ireland.

If you really wanted an independent scotland then you'd take all the bankers, politicians, lawyers and other such scum and machine gun the lot in the street. Otherwise all you'll have is the exact same stuff going on with a different brand on it.

I disagree with what you say Andy, because lets just say Scotland does get its independence.....then that would be the first step towards change if they chose to change their system would it not? May I ask, if you were afforded the opportunity to "machine gun the bankers, politicians, lawyers and other such scum" (please clarify who these are), then what, how and who would you replace them with given that your policy of 'mass clearance' rather reeks of dictatorship?

I also see flaws in your first statement. The Scots along with the Welsh, through their own parliaments, have indeed introduced such things as free prescriptions and free higher education. And please don't come back and say 'the Brit tax payer funds that'. My understanding is they don't. The division of the money is worked out by central government (the Brits) per head from the tax revenue which is dispersed per capita head, between the Celts and Brits, The Celts then decide which way they want to disperse the money from the central tax collector...the Brit......it's just the Brit that decides to spend it on overseas conflicts and the ilk.

My final conclusion is that Scotland will not get its independence by the very narrowest of margins, and it will be enough for the 'Brits' to keep themselves and their appointed lackeys in place for ever more constantly lining their own pockets whilst keeping the rest of us in servitude and serfdom.

So yes, I would like to see Scotland get their independence, there is a better chance of a change in the system if they do because it will remain the same old same old if they don't...... for everyone.

You're assuming anythings different, same stupid mistake time and time again.
Its how they keep roping the sheep in, you should know better by now.
These people do not represent you, they represent corporate interest, have done since the creation of the city of london which remains one of the most powerful corporations on the planet.

I'm not saying that voting no is any better either, you can get that dumb idea out of your head too just in case it pops in there...that again is just a prime example of programming.

I know and understand perfectly well that those voted into power only represent the corporations Andy. So for me the best solution is that I don't vote as I am stuck as to what other action I can take. Hence the reason I asked you the following question

So appart from total anarchy and civil unrest, how do you propose we bring about the fall of the corupt system the majority of 'sheeple' stand guilty of supporting purely by default of putting an 'X' next to a name?

I don't propose anything other than civil unrest as mentioned earlier.
Nor for that matter do I expect that to happen either unless the situation for many people gets far far worse than it is now.
You and millions like you would literally have to be unable to eat before that happens and it would have to happen at the same time for all of them, so we're looking at some kind of sudden drastic economic collapse.
The slow boil is all thats happening at the moment, getting people used to their situation and accepting it gradually and setting people against each other in the lower classes, meanwhile continue to promise them the world and lie your ass off basically.
Works every time.

In theory, the Scattish should be better off. (based on my meagre interest/knowledge in it). But if average punter thinks they're gonna be better off as a result they've fallen for whatever scam they've got going to make the rich richer!

It's absolutely correct to say that voting, either way, will change nothing. The only way change could be effected democratically would be if no-one voted. There would then be no mandate to govern.
Ofc in the extremely highly unlikely event that should happen, the next thing that would happen would be martial law followed by civil unrest.
So, if change is to ever happen, civil unrest is inevitable imho. Either as a result of a democratic no vote or some form of revolution.
However, neither will happen will it. What we will get is more and more apathy and more silly people thinking that things will get better if they tick a ruddy box.

we are not yet in a situation where 'stop cooperating by voting' works.

Look at the last election the tories and lib dems formed a govt based , in principle , on many many people taking your view of not voting.

Somtimes when you are faced with the inevitable (a govt) you are better placed using your vote than giving it up in vain hope it will make a difference.

The politican will thank you for not voting...your making their job easier

We're not in a situation yet where voting works.
The Tories & Lib Dems actually formed a government not by what people voted for, but something they hadn't! But they were only able to do that since people actually voted in the first place!

It'd work but it'd have to happen first.

People are voting to have their responsibility taken away, they are voting for other people to represent them.
People who vote are getting EXACTLY what they voted for, if they don't realise that they are deluding themselves.

Exactly.
By voting you are outsourcing your responsibility to someone else, and your sovereignty to someone else.
Only a moron would comply.
