Everything on this planet is done for financial gain Jane, I don't need a degree in nuclear physics to either see that or easily prove it beyond a shadow of doubt, and when that entire financial system itself is controlled by a small group of private individuals who 'loan' it out at interest and never have any of their own hard earned cash to do so then you have everything you need to know right there in front of your face.

If it didn't exist then there would be no motive for 99% of everything that goes on. The other 1% is madness/psychopathy/ignorance and destined to die off if the 99% got sorted first anyway.

I recall that long thread that hurt so many feelings about 'fear of having children' on DIF and it hurt them because they saw what I said was absolutely right, totally inescapable. Once you admit that much of what you do is motivated by money then you are at least partially on the way towards 'enlightenment' if you like.
The video you posted is nothing new, its something anarchists have talked about long before we could ever see the planet from space, Carl Sagan's Cosmos series discussed it at length too some time ago yet even his words were used and abused by the media, most notably malthusians and even NaN's to rant about how Carl Sagan wanted one world government...it is truly sad.

Your saying people should be united behind the most important things of all is correct, I merely pointed out what the most important topic of all was.
We could well end up living in space or on other worlds and spreading out with complete awareness of Earths situation and yet we could still have a monetary system that divides us. We could still have an interplanetary government which is elected reps with lobbying lol.
So you see...the image of the Earth changes nothing, even though now most people IMHO are completely aware of it, its made bugger all difference. Even when bankers get bailed out for sod all enslaving generations to come still fuck all has happened. Even religions rely on it, nation state governments rely on it, welfare and healthcare relies on it and all this reliance is built on a tower of cards.
Billions suffer and die miserable deaths because of it, diseases remain because of it, oil remains because of it, wars happen because of it.
The animals of the planet are in a sense more highly evolved than the humans because they don't partake in this unique madness.
