Guantanamo Bay is in Cuba yes?

So why was this ever used by the USA given the relationship between USA and Cuba?

How many people are still there and will they ever be released or they all likely dead by now?


Why has the NASA website shut down given the activity with the ISON comet which is being heavily tracked by astronomers? Has every USA website govt run been taken down/offline with the shut down?


What is Obamacare , I'm looking here for proper answers from those of you who know what is going on as frankly I'm lost and the internet is completely full of 'it's this' no i't not 'it's this'

Lastly salt and sauce or salt and vinegar? And does America have chip shops? I don't think I have ever seen an American on tv or film go to a chippie?

Indeed.

The US has bigger guns.

Estimates vary. Maybe a few hundred maybe a few dozen. Many have been released over the years but the remainder will probably die there.

A lot of US government departments are temporarily closed because of the shutdown. That includes NASA.

Affordable healthcare plans for all. This includes medical cover for preexisting conditions. Long story though and worth a read up.

I can help with the important stuff...

Salt OR sauce. Both would simply be a debauch. Personally, I have salt when eating chips with something else, like a nice piece of meat or chicken. I have sauce when I'm just eating chips on their own. Must be Heinz 'ketchup' though.

Americans do not eat 'chips' as we would know them. A cautionary tale...I once ordered a burger and chips at an establishment in the states and the waitress brought me a bag of crisps...and a burger. 'Chips' are crisps and 'fries' are chips.

The US leased the land for a repairs station way back in the early 1900's and that lease continues today.

The definitive list of who is/was detained is unlikely to ever be openly available. The numbers incarcerated at present is certainly in triple figures. 106 detainees were recently on hunger strike.

Much of the US Govt operations are still running, that first phase of their shutdown is to lay off 'non-essential' staff
There will always be a provision to cover national security and maintenance functions.
Ironically politicians and their staff are considered 'essential'.

ObamaCare/The Affordable Care Act merely attempts to make health INSURANCE cover available to as many people as possible.
It in no way resembles our NHS nor provides for everyones care.
The reason there is a lot of chat about it is that it ends lots of fucking hideous restrictive practices of the health insurance industry and determines what percentage of their profit must be invested into healthcare provision rather than into the pockets of their shareholders.
That is why you hear so much bs from Fox, Rush Limbaugh, Palin, the Republican Party and all the other mouthpieces/hookers for corporate America.

Chippie sauce for me.

America tends to go more for the Belgian "French Fries" which have had their name changed to Freedom Fries when the French suggested that going into Iraq was unnecessary and unlawful.
The French are currently top drawer again because they were supportive of the proposed Syrian caper and the UK can go get fucked because they said "Ehh wanty calm down a bit for now?"
