Ok, I shouldn't have tried tackling something this technical while we were featherless but as nobody else pointed out the error then I reckon I can be forgiven :D

Anyway, what it boils down to at the moment is a vote on keeping the old logo or having the new one.

Its probably already been discussed and I missed it - if so, sort me owt.

What is the significance of the 'A' in the new design, and why do I find it so sexual? Are there subliminals involved?

If I were being all arty 'n shit I suppose it could suggest the glow was from the beacon in the doorway to sanctuary. (Aaahhhhh sound plays)
I did intentionally play with the pyramid and eye symbolism but in a jokey irreverent/taking the absolute pish way.

Basically imo the bland text needed some form of focal point to lift the monotony and give folks something to speculate on. ;)

May I say at this point this was only a suggestion and If folks have others or want to chuck things about for myself or anyone else to mess about with, that would be wonderful imo.

I played around in a variety of styles and, (for me), decided a trimmed back to something simpler/cleaner yet still recognisable was preferable.
Most logos end up in that area.

I would also suggest that the site header may be something which can be changed on a reasonable regular basis, (a la Google), to relieve visual boredom.

If folks have any ideas but may want to browse font sites for inspiration, say the word and I'll drop some links to decent ones.
