A good suggestion and perhaps in time we'll get a chance to tweak things like that. (So don't hesitate to voice ideas).

The site recently changed hands and these are the first tentative steps at makings some changes.
A phrase I have used a lot this past few days is "there is a lot of software real estate back there."
The very worthy and able chap who installed and customised most of that is not around anymore and the lovely Novum who assisted is being spread quite thin atm. So we amateurs (and part-time 'indentured volunteers' like myself), are doing what we can, when we can, once we've figured out what we can and cross checking our understandings before acting.

My instinct at present is that it would probably be easier for me to raise the logo to meet the button, than to drop the button to meet the logo.
I may get a stab at that in the next few days.

I just thought it was worth explaining where it's at and asking for peeps patience and indulgence.

But once again, PLEASE keep the suggestions coming.

I demand satisfaction. My representatives shall be in touch.

I give advance notice that you should make preparations to compensate me with an orange kitkat minimum!

I'm liking the new banner a lot, but the orange sincerely clashes with the blue of the forum, and it looks a bit garish if I'm being honest.
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma,
a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

What colour scheme would you prefer to see, MP? I think the background would look good changed to purple. Purple & orange look good together.

Yellow and blue might work. I would say red and blue, but that makes me think of...

EDIT: @Gilly

Personally, I would like to see a polished chrome or something, but then there would be no offset in the colour scheme.

Purple's good though, it's just getting the right tone with purple, otherwise it can just be a bit overpowering.

Again I ask for a bit of patience and indulgence until we get an opportunity to rake around the various templates, participate in a busier than usual forum and accomodating that ever pesky real world which keep tugging at sleeves and demanding attention. :)

It's Dr Bruce Bannerman, just don't make him angry, you won't like him when he's angry.

He'll abuse us via the power of his banners, he's got previous.

I've tried painting my cock purple, and it doesn't work.

It's the colour of the 3rd eye chakra also.

Try painting your forehead purple, MS. See if that gets you anywhere.

Anyway, according to google, orange and blue are meant to go together well, but more of a turquoise blue :chuckle:

They can, but as with all colour matches the devil is in the shades, their juxaposition to each other and areas of coverage
Piet Mondrian illustrated that really well for us.
