usa fair use is pretty much the same but has more court cases that seem to favour us - does our service provider have a statement about copyright?

I'm all for copyright being protected, but thoreau is completely correct. Something like this would obviously seem to be a breach of copyright:



And I'm quite sure 20th Century Fox would rather have it taken down (although all publicity is good publicity), but instead that Youtube channel has over 183 million hits. They've taken five minutes of material out of a movie that grossed nearly $3 billion, so I think you will struggle to argue that copy and pasting from a blog is a significant breach of copyright.

For the record in case she reads this, I would like to say that I don't have anything against UFOChick, she was always very polite to me and I haven't forgotten that.
