I can't respond to ex sheep there for obvious reasons but it got me thinking what do I do?
Well first off I am not of the belief that just chucking out random bits of information at people is the sole way to go in order to create any sort of change. I believe firmly that action and information are needed.
With that in mind here are a few things that I do. I may not reach people on the scale that icke does but I feel that my contribution and the knock on effect it has does make a difference.
I try not to give my money to big business - growing my own, buying handcrafted goods, making my own clothes and accessories, making things for others, buying on the whole from independent and farm shops, recycling, reusing and upcycling, etc. This year my entire family and friends gave only gifts they had either made themselves or that were hand made by local crafts people as an example of a small but significant change.
Being kind to people - such a small thing but little acts of kindness can have a huge knock on effect
Talking WITH people not AT people about issues - respecting their views, not calling them names or removing them from my life just because they may think differently. Who cares if someone thinks some of my thought patterns are a bit nuts if they take on board other aspects of what I am saying?
For my job I actively help those in debt and homeless whilst challenging the system in both mainstream and more alternative ways.
For my hobby (crafting) you would be amazed at how many people I have had long and awesome conversations with about my approach to selling things I have made and that in turn leads to conversations about debt, profit, world debt, cheap wages, and all sorts - which has seen many people coming back to talk more or to say that they are making their own changes and talking to others about it.
I lend my voice and support to groups of people attempting to change inequalities.
I am realistic - we are not going to change everything over night and there are so many horrific things that we do to each other that cannot all be connected back to one malevolent entitity or group of elite peoples - so small steps just to encourage people to value each other, each others rights and not to force others to bend to their will is a great place to start.
So what is david doing? he writes books and talks at people for hours and starts a tv station to talk at people for hours - but the way in which the information is presented leaves us with a fait accompli. We are told the reptilians that live not within the 5 sense world and feed off negative vibrations are 'ruling' us - and that we need, as a people to raise our vibrations in order to starve them out. Which is fine - it could be true - it is as plausible as many other theories - however... How can we remove fear divide and other negatives when the information presented to us is fear based? When we are led to believe that one state and its supporters are the sole reason for everything bad?
Ickes is not a message of hope and change it is a message of doom and divide. If you are not with us you are part of the problem
So what am I doing?
I am attempting to change the way I behave and think towards others - trying to be more positive and show that there is more important things to life than consuming and being consumed. I am connecting with people who like me don't have all the answers but are looking for something different. I refuse to look at others who are happy with the way things are as being lesser than me or stupid or non thinking sheep. For them the system is working - if it were working for me perhaps I wouldnt have even started reading ickes material.
I am not afraid to challenge not only the system but also those who are claiming to challenge the system whenever I see inequality or hypocrisy.
I am a hypocrite too - I am not perfect and do not expect anyone to be perfect but I will at least take responsibility for my actions.
