One of the major points of the union was to force the German royals on Scotland and not allow you to have your own Royalty.

scottish independance is a joke!

people say they want to be totally independant from england but they dont think it through farther than voting yes.

there are no major industries left in scotland, textiles, manufacturing, fishing, oil blah blah blah.
fishing has been destroyed by the quota system, textiles are dead, oil industry are monopolised by multinationals and the contracts have all been negotiated for centuries, so what indistries do scotland have left apart from the service sector, some small manufacturing.

scotland would need its own currency so they couldnt / wouldnt be allowed to use sterling, so that means a whole new banking system from scratch, that would scare off any future investors.
the power companies wont do any favours for scottish independance it would go up on price same with gas and water.

we would need our own security services, army, police, intelligence, utilility companies, fire service... would cost hundreds of billions.

so how would a scottish government gets its cash ??? .... taxing the people thats where and scotland only has a very small population with a even smaller working percentage who would be eligible to pay massive tax hikes, either that take out massive bank loans which puts the people in massive debt.

even the tourism industry alone wouldnt keep scotland afloat, scotland would become a tin pot banana republic overnight rife with corruption and spiralling poverty.

scottish independace is only a pipe dream peddled to the public who just dont understand the consequences.

The demise of Scotland due to its 'lack' can also be said of ENGLAND and WALES and IRELAND.......time for each man for himself......
