sofar i havent come across any decient off shelf ebikes, not even the ones sold for thousands! they might be good bikes but the electronics, motors and batteries are shite on them! if you wanted a viable and lasting ebike then i would get yourself into the garage with materials and a few books on engineering, electrochemistry and electronics!

you would want.....
efficient batteries! the battery problems are now being cracked with the advent of solid state, crystal batteries, nanographene, water fuelcells, ultra capacitors and the likes

motors - permanent magnet axel flux pulse motors! very efficient in both power consumption and provision of torque!

efficient regenerative charge modules would be great also - easy to make!

efficient pulse controlers to run the motors - also easy to make

add all that to a good engineered lightweight bike and your off!

it is entirley possible to have a great system up and running if you are clever about it but, all these manufacturers on the scene atm care only for highest profit from selling lowest grade shite! there has been a few inventors who have come up with amazing ebike tech but no one wants to support them and many want to suppress them and their tech! as long as there is oil there will be no off shelf availability of efficient electric bikes! as it is with the electric car and other efficient energy systems!
