Well... IF you factor in all the GCHQ and NSA monitoring, then technically speaking there are no hiding places on the internet, nor privately owned encryption systems worthy to the task of annexing any part of the internet away from the gaze of the gargoyles that man the PRISM, and Echelon programs, whether the forum be conspiracy related, or to do with cooking the perfect Yorkshire pudding.

The people involved with that sort of operation hardly need the assistance of the owners of a website which has less than a million members!

I think it is important to remind the watchers, constantly, that they are being watched and that we know what they are up to.

I used to post at ATS a few years ago, but stopped because of certain moderators. I think a couple of them were police - dunno if they're still there. They started jumping all over me because I posted against the US police policy to shoot to kill. If they draw a weapon, they must do so with the intention of killing their target, rather than maiming, which I find abhorrent.

Because I argued the point, one of them banned me, but another of them lifted the ban straight away. I've never bothered with the place since other than to look in once in a while.

I only posted a handful of times at ATS Gilly and now I don't even log in anymore....too much ad tracking software. I only visit now for the ancient civilisations sub-forum. All the disinformation, mod censorship and intereference, in other subjects just gets my dander up...so I avoid it.
There can't be meaningful debate in a controlled environment.

've never visited the place because i've never heard anyone so far who has had a good thing to say about it,so for me its iffy reputation put me off.

I've just popped on to say, my post was not a defamation of ATS or DIF for that matter. There are some very good and fine folk on both sites. I was just trying to show what I believe to be going on behind the scenes.

Luckily people, like JIm, who we learned died tragically early, by setting up communities like TZ and SZ that provide a beacon for genuine reality seekers to move to.
I'm sure he would be happy to know that he has left such a positive legacy behind. I certainly appreciate him and all the others who have obviously put in a fine effort to make these places havens of sanity for the insane - who are probably, truth be known, the sanest of all.
