Like most of this stuff... it's both interesting and worrying at the same time.
Would you have one if it potentially could save your life or prohibit something nasty like arthritis?
I most certainly would.
The problem (well, one of them) with life prolonging technology is that at some point people will be able to live significantly longer (probably only if you have the money) and no plans to reduce birth rates and so on.... IF it became possible to become more or less immortal through machinery & tech then would there still be a reason to procreate?
