They believe that being born into a family where one or both parents were brought up Christian and brought up the child or children with a label of religion is enough.

I am sure that this is the case for other religions also where some people use the brand label for convenience,to keep the status quo or personal gain within the religious community.

I suggest that once a person take on a religious belief they should actually read the rule book themselves and not try to get by on some processed modern version just because it is more palatable.

Various tribes and groups of people thousands of mile apart have developed their own religions and rule books at various times throughout history.

The majority as far as i am aware are based around a form of ancestor worship or supposed ancestor worship where the author has given these people super powers of various forms,these powers take the form of fighting prowess,longevity,wisdom,virility etc which tend to be far superior than other tribes and groups mentioned in these religious writings.

In conclusion because of the fact that these religions are based around stories that tended be exclusive to certain tribes or groups and not inclusive to every human on the planet they are unworthy of a creative force that made mankind/womankind.

The mysteries of the universe,life and the creative force behind it are there to be found when searched for and probably not in a processed set of little booklets from the bronze age and beyond.



Respect to good people who do good works all around the world for genuine reasons of course.

It's an interesting subject. It may appear we're picking on one religion, but I think the same can be said for most of them.

I was talking to someone recently about 'christenings' and similar rituals and what it really boils down to, imo, is recruitment. Get 'em while they're young and have no say in the matter. It's tantamount to piercing a childs ears or genital mutilation.

On the subject of Christmas, similarly, a LOT of people just do it because they always have, their parents always did etc. I find it devastating the amount of people I come across who utterly buy into it and say things like "but it's for the kids" as a last resort when they can't really come up with any more of a reasonable argument.

That's how they gets ya.

'Tradition' - don't believe the hype.

Having said that, I actually admire people who do have faith and believe in something. It's just something I've never been able to fully give myself over to.

I often think my life would have been very different had I been able to. The only aspects of any religion I object to are those where you simply don't have a choice in the matter. All religions are subject to manipulation and twisting for the benefit of a few, and this is what turns me off.

For all the wonderful things a faith can give you, it has and doubtless always will be used to horrific ends also. As with any kind of 'ism', the only real problem is people, ironically.

Faith in other people is a great thing to possess.

I really struggle with the question as to why so many people would want to worship other peoples ancestors.

Why would a European person wish to worship middle eastern peoples ancestors for instance when they have various European tales of wars,warriors and intrigue for them to study similar to the old testament.

A Saga has more relevance to a European than the old testament i would suggest to anybody wishing to ancestor worship.

Jesus used the term Kurios, which basically means "The Lord". The intention is that God's name is holy, and there is a commandment to not take the name of God (i.e. Jehovah) in vain, and to use it often would do so. The idea is that he is King, and you don't call the King, James, you call him King. My King, My liege. Its a mark of respect.

When Jesus, who is Jehovah in the flesh, refers to the Father as "the Lord", its a sign of how to speak of him. We do call him Jehovah in prayer, and in worshipful service, but in general use no. God is a respectful term for Christians, and a disrespectful one for heathens who use the word "God" as a curse word, and it is treated as a breaking of the commandments. God knows who that term is referring to.

We are not being ignorant and disrespectful, we are being respectful. I hope this helps.
