Unless of course United beat Munich, but obviously they're in for another dicking. Makeshift defence, both first choice fullbacks out against Robben & Robbery. It's gonna end in tears!
Bayern drew at the weekend while United won 4-1, so you could argue that United are the form team...

LOL, that was Bayern's under 12 girls team, the stars were rested for the challenge of the mighty United :hahano:

The funny thing is, even though Bayern are clearly a vastly superior side, it wouldn't surprise me if United won, it's just the way football goes sometimes. I remember Barcelona absolutely playing Arsenal off the pitch and losing 2-1 a few years ago.

Having said that, considering United's performances against Liverpool and City there seems to be no possible logical reason to suspect that they'll even muster a shot on target, but stranger things have happened...

I fear the worst. Not only are Bayern a vastly superior team, they have two of the finest cheats in Robben & Ribery.

Much like the TV soaps, I take a view that the yesterday or tomorrow is not so much the point as enjoying today. It's an escapism thing for me.
Living in the now.

Yesterdays Henrys or Beckhams or Ginolas are no longer there to enjoy, I occasionally reminisce their past perfection, just as I occasionally let my mind wander to the future pleasures football may have in store for me.

But for today, I just enjoyed Andy Carroll.

Good game.... if Moyes got the team motivated like that for every game there'd be no problem!

Not sure what happened to Bayern's tactics in the 2nd half but they were nowhere near as dominating.... they couldn't really get it together as much for some reason. Fellani is good at breaking up the play & winning the ball back but the man cannot pass for Toffee.
Welbeck wasted the most blatantly good opportunity but Vidic's goal was sublime!
I think Rooney knew he had just had Sweinsteiger over by over-reacting to a tackle & had a right chuffed look on his face about it!

Still hope, but can't see United doing it over there. An improvement, none the less.

You know it's a good un when you start kicking out at balls in your front room.

Why Kagawa doesn't get more games is beyond me! You can see he's a 'footballer', the passes he tries that don't come off sometimes are belters but nobody around him is used to that kind of ball in due to him not playing! Make Rooney and RVP battle it out for the spot in front of him and Mata :D

Agreed. Doesn't help that 3 players play there.... but this playing players out of position all the time needs to stop.
& just because RvP or Rooney are there doesn't mean either should be guaranteed a starting spot.

Ribery went totally missing 2nd half which was useful. He was being a pest in the 1st half.

I saw this advert earlier today, and there's one player of the three that doesn't quite fit into it somehow, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it:

Maybe it's the guy who spends every second summer doing this:

Whilst I'm a Scouser I harbour no ill feeling whatsoever toward Man Utd, healthy competition and a bit of banter but no genuine ill feeling.

Chelsea on the other hand I despise, I loath them with every fibre of my being.

You can rest assured I will be supporting Liverpool in two weeks time. I cannot stand Chelsea. I can't even watch them unless I think they're going to lose. I've actually sadly missed some of their defeats because I thought they would win, although I always start watching once I know they're losing. If it looks like they're going to win, I stop watching. I've never actually seen them win a game. I won't even watch them on MOTD unless they've lost, or had a disappointing draw. I can't abide anything about the club, but I particularly despite their defensive, pragmatic, anodyne, colourless, anaemic, cynical, one-paced, functional, tedious football. I actually heard a Chelsea season ticket holder describe their performance against Swansea as "excruciating" the other day.
