The contradiction is that the one said to be Rolf Harris, just referred to in the article quoted above as a man in his 70's, was previously said to have been released without bail. Gadd, DLT & Starr are out on bail. Whereas this report is saying they were all bailed.

That's what I'm meaning Chand. So the first version gives the implication that there was insufficient evidence against Harris to pursue things further, or they were satisfied of his innocence, or maybe that he was not a suspect in the first place, but a possible witness.

I agree with you about toughening up on them. And I don't see why age is a factor. I don't know of any clause here that says you should get away with crimes you've committed if you're only caught once you've passed a particular age.

Hearsay, I know, but a bloke at work reckons his girlfriend was given the creeps by Hall when he persistently letched at her at some do or other. He also said Hall has a jolly TV persona that isn't visible in real life, where he just seemed like a self-satisfied, over-inflated ego.

I met quite a few minor celebs when I was younger. I wasn't impressed by the likes of Norman Collier (I can't even remember the others off the top of my head - some sports men who I wouldn't have known of anyway, & that actor who used to play Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street) as they had their own little entourage of minions fawning round them, laughing heartily at every unfunny thing they uttered.

But Les Dawson was funny. He kept following me around doing his Cosmo Smallpiece character. I was only about 18, so maybe with hindsight he was just being pervy really. I didn't think so though - he was just trying to make me laugh, and it worked. I liked him.

I've been listening to Stuart Hall's match reports for donkeys.

We shouldn't be too surprised. A lot of the accused were pretty big back in the 70s and the attitude toward women was a tad different from what I hope it is now.

Stuart Hall doesn't surprise me, the same way jimmie Savile didn't surprise me, and I'm not saying that simply because he is being questioned but he always gave me the creeps during 'We are the Champions'

It strange though because when I first heard it today I thought, not surprised , then 'but it was30+ years ago and they're all old what's going to be achieved by sending them to jail. This really confused me and last year I would having being baying for their blood so I'm unsure why that went through my mind?

I think perhaps it is now there is a new pedophile star from the 70/80's named or suggested every couple of days it is being normalized and is no longer 'shocking' coupled with the fact that nothing is happening to them anyway.

Plus when is the investigation going to start for the abusers who are currently in the media/music industry and government , probably never............we'll get fed a line of they have rounded up the offenders and that's it crisis adverted
