They're basically capitalising on thick people, but thats what politicians have done for ages.

The fact that there would still not be enough jobs to go around if we halted immigration tomorrow does not occur to most of the populace.

I would prefer UKIP to win the European elections to Labour, the Tories or the Lib Dems. However, that's a lot like asking "which one of these turds would you most like to eat?"

UKIP is a one issue party: get the UK out of the EU. People can identify with that. Farage had indicated be doesn't give a toss what happens to UKIP after that goal had been achieved. He has no interest in climbing the greasy political pole: țhat also endears him to people.

If you comfort yourself with the thought that it is only thick people that UKIP appeals to, you are sadly mistaken! Support for EU membership is pretty low.

I'd want a completely new party altogether.
Preferably something thats actually libertarian, after all, open borders and free trade IS libertarian.

Its the whole one world government thing people get worried about, what they SHOULD be worried about is one world digital currency because thats going to happen first and the bankers are the one world govt, people just don't know it yet.

The EU is seen by some, including Icke, as part of the tiptoe to world government.... a guinea pig as it were.

I just think that if you'd lived with three idiots for a long time, and you got offered the chance to live with someone else, but you were told this person was an idiot as well, would you stick with the idiots that you know, or take the chance on living with a different idiot? I appreciated Irelands law which made it legal to refuse to be on the register if you wanted, which was nice and libertarian of them.

This daft plan falls apart when Christians are called upon to sign a similar document renouncing violence and the bit in the bible where it says one man should not lie with another. After all there are violent Christians with incompatible beliefs living here.

Electoral roll is pretty much as you say. If you don't register those people within your household - not just yourself - you are technically committing an offence (I think). But this is never pursued.

Just be glad you are not in a country like Australia where voting is compulsory and it is an offence not to vote - that's why they sometimes have turnouts as high as 95%.
