A CHARITABLE man has attempted to turn controversial drinking game Neknominate on its head - by giving all his clothes and an expensive watch to a tramp.

Neknominate Good Deed 365510

Following his good deed Edward Lennie, 48, pleaded with Robbie Williams, Michael Buble and Ollie Murs to follow suit in the hope his new version of the deadly drinking game will catch on.

Sick of the dangerous dares and tragic deaths, Edward says he wants to use the "energy" of the viral craze to bring some good to the world.

He said: "When Neknominate started I just got the feeling that it was going to escalate and become dangerous and I was right.

"When I heard about the deaths I just thought, this has got to stop.

"I do love the energy of the game and I wanted to turn it round, and use that energy to do something good.

"I have called my version of the game RACKnominate - Random Act of Kindness Nominate - and I am hoping it will catch on."

The clips of Edward's nobel RACKnominate has already clocked up over 4,000 hits on YouTube.

Ed, an events manager, of Newcastle's west end, removed his Gibson blazer, which cost him £200, his Jeffery West shoes, also £200 and his Bulgari watch - a gift he estimates cost £100 - and handed them to a bewildered tramp he spotted in the city centre.

Afterwards he took a bottle of Mateus Rose wine from his car and poured two glasses - one for himself and one for the homeless man known only as TJ - before downing his drink on the street.

Ed, a dad-of-two, said: "The guy was made up. He was really pleased. He might have sold the stuff by now, and good luck to him if he has."

The Neknominate craze is believed to have originated in Australia and has seen players engaging in various acts including drinking alcohol with dog food, engine oil and live goldfish.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma,
a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

I know what you're saying, although there's no way of knowing whether or not it was one of his entourage, or just a passer by, that snapped the event and uploaded it to youtube.

What a good idea. And I know what you mean too, Oi, but there'd have been some who'd have said, "Photo's or it didn't happen". :D

In the society we find ourselves his behaviour is commendable, in the society I'd like to see his behaviour would be expected.
