Why on earth does anyone vote?
It's hard for me to understand how anyone could possibly be taken in by Trump, but I suppose the general population is ultimately quite ignorant. It's probably equally bad that there have been massive protests against a perfectly fair vote when none of the people protesting would have blinked an eyelid if the result had gone the other way (exactly like Brexit), don't understand that the result makes no difference and are happy to give Obama a free pass for his dreadful presidency.

Nuclear war seems highly likely.
It probably won't get that far there will likely be some really scary stand-off like the Cuban Missile Crisis, which admittedly did very nearly result in nuclear war! At this stage, the existing system is so powerful and people are so misinformed and misled by the media, I don't really see how there can be meaningful change. It might be possible in a pre-mass media society, but in this culture people are conditioned to see things a certain way and most people cannot break out of that programming. I know that you can make my family believe anything. If TPTB really wanted to they could have the majority of the population believing that the moon is made out of cheese, all they would need to do is relentlessly
repeat this message over and over again and pretty soon people would believe it. Note that when Bush told people that he does that, the audience applauded!
