I've only just got that that was partly aimed at me, you can sound all Daily Mail when you want to.
I responded earlier but cancelled it. I should have left it.
You are, of course, correct. For all his Marx, Geuve does indeed come over Mail. For all his Engels,, he feels more Express.
He just gave a good example with "offshore anarchist" which has the same ring to it as "champaign socialist". These epithets are an expressiion of antipathy for people with views contrary to theirs but whom have managed to acheive some education or profession above their stereotypical idea of "working class" Basically mate, we have no business being both "offshore" AND "anarchist".

A year in Provence and the Amarchist must be a yob like
Kenny Everrete's Sid Snot. One cannot be both in the mind of our Mailite without risking hypocrisy.
Let's face it: which Marxist refers to others as "Comrades" thee days?
Citizen Smith? That's the stereotype his playing because that is the one he believes to be true.
Ironicall one of the reasons I left the UK in 1995 was because I wanted to escape Major's Britain which was, after all, Thatcherite. Even if, by then, the same people who are singing her praises, had stuck the knife in 5 years earlier.
