Oh yes, I agree with you dear Mart on the 60s era and I am suspicious, too. I think we both are familiar with Mr. Dave McGowan's research into the Laurel Canyon residents and their connections to the military industrial complex and how suddenly many 'entertainers' all flocked to the area at the time from many places calling themselves musicians and hippies. I think it was to counter the genuine and real revolution that was taking place, so it was infiltrated and poisoned, literally, with lots of drugs, booze and 'groovy' songs.

Like you, I do not like divide and conquer terminologies. I am just calling it like I see it. Someone somewhere does not like the energy of the feminine and all that comes with it. Our dear Earth herself has been like a bloody altar for bloodshed. I believe there are those who are orchestrating the chaos in our world know full well of what they are doing and understands the use of yin and yang energy and they want to extinguish one and misuse the other.

Yes, I agree it was a positive desire for change that got subverted, no doubt those kinds of infiltration and subversion tactics are still in use, it seems that may have happened with the occupy movement in some ways.

sorry if it seemed like I was having a go at you with the comment about divide and conquer, it's just it's so easy for people to fall into dialectic viewpoint.
I realise you are not like that and you know it's more about masculine and feminine energies than man and woman.

perhaps humanity is headed more towards unity consciousness and that would explain the seeming differences in the way people look at the world and those intriguing IQ results.

One thing is for sure, the world is weird and it's getting out...

Don’t get me wrong. I am the last person who wouldn’t want change. We need change so badly! Yes we technologically advanced but let’s look at some statistics. Today, 20 million in US suffer from major depression. For all anxiety disorders combined, six months prevalence are 9% and lifetime prevalence rates are 15%. We can’t forget about all kinds of addiction. 51% of married couple divorce and the stress resulting from divorce is a second after losing a loved one. We know well how stress affects physical heath. But it is a top of the iceberg. Do we really advanced? Does a technological progress really matter when society stops functioning?
I didn’t talk about new age ascension or shift of consciousness. I wouldn’t waste my time but I talked about reaching higher potential and it is a new age propaganda.
I agree that people start to wake up. It is a high time as thing got out of hand and everything is falling apart but the road is very long and people prefer to feed their mind with illusions rather than face a reality and look for solutions.

It's not about longing for change on a social level while relaxing in an armchair. It's bigger than that, and always has been. You're only looking at the face value, and haven't investigated further. While those statics are fairly accurate, I'll point out that the US population only accounts for a small percentage of the human species as a whole. There are other obvious elements to account for as well, like the fact that this nation is a corporatocracy. The US is driven by the consumerist/planned obsolescence economic system, and it's media driven engineered culture. People are brainwashed into believing they need to purchase throwaway items to feel social and self-worth. There are entire teams of psychologists, sociologists, and marketing strategists that focus on steering public opinion. It's done via symbolism and subconscious triggers. It also doesn't help that a majority of the affordable foods are heavily processed and/or genetically modified. With the world's most powerful military force, it should be easy to keep drugs from crossing over American borders. To be blunt it's by design, and why the statistics aren't reflected in other nations. It's no great wonder why people are obese, addicted, and unhappy.

We have advanced, you just haven't viewed the subject from a broad enough scope yet. If we hadn't advanced as a species on a conscious level at all, we'd still think the planet was flat, we'd believe in geocentricity, and that evil spirits cause diseases and pandemics. Hell, we'd still be scraping an existence from beneath rocks. As I stated before, more technological and sociological advancements have taken place since the advent of the industrial revolution (262 years), than all of human history combined. We have the Flynn effect to prove that each generation has had it's measurable logical IQ increase on an average of 5 to 25 points, even in nations like the US who have it's plethora of social-political issues. These increases in logical IQ have caused these tests to be restandardized in order to keep up with rising intelligence and awareness you claim is propaganda.

Technological advances have a lot to do with maintaining the quality of life since our species is incapable of living directly from the land like other animals. Even when societies have broken down in the past, technology was at the forefront of easing day to day living. Simple technology like the horse drawn plow persisted after several collapses, and is still in use today. That's just one example.

I'm beginning to wonder if you understand what the word potential means... Potential means 'capable of being', in a not so eloquently put way. Life itself is based upon the principals of potential. There is always potential that a particular species will improve, adapt, change. Just the same, there is always potential that it the same species won't be able to cope with the dynamics of life and fade into the annals of history. Simply put, it's completely unrelated to new aged concepts. The part where the propaganda comes in are with the obvious attempts to stroke the primal human ego. "You will become gods, be able to fly, and know everything at an instant after december 21'st". That material is propaganda, as it completely defeats the purpose of the conscious experience. I'd suggest you take a broader view of the subject and start at the ancestral roots of our species. The cradles of civilization are good places to start. Be warned, this isn't a subject that can be completely absorbed in day with a few google searches.

I tend to agree with you on what you have stated, especially your thoughts about the Renaissance era. I find that information is the key to liberating the minds of the masses and this seems to be the beginning of the age for that, too.

I can attest that about ten years ago, there was not much information to be found on the internet alone. Since then there has been an ever increasing amount of people who are seeking truth, spreading awareness and there are those that I deem the most courageous, for breaking free from a control most of us cannot fathom, and they have been risking their lives to expose people in high places and their shady doings.

Even though throughout history we have had many revolutions, seems to me there has not been a time quite like this one. It feels groundbreaking. Meanwhile, people are returning to their spirits and embracing what they have been swayed from. Humanity has hit the fork in the road and many are realising, that other direction is taking them further away from their purpose although its a scenic route. We can create and pave our own road, instead of following someone else's. We are all Masons and that is one of the biggest secrets, in my honest opinion, life is what we make it.

I am not a new-agey type person but I have always been very optimistic. I am willing to listen to any news, but good news always gets special attention from me. I encourage everyone to use their intuition, its a wonderful gift. And to observe the silent ripples of the waters because there have been many. The global protests are an example of that.

Thanks Mrindigo for speaking on my behalf. I appreciate that very much :)

Excellent post, Mountain.

The increase in people seeking information outside of the typical media controls is a good example. Not too long ago (as you said), this would have been frowned upon. Agreed, there have indeed been many revolutions. Each have had an impact, though few seemed to really drive home like those in present day.

Humanity reaching the fork in the road is what it's all about, and I think you've elaborated upon the potential choices beautifully. The crossroads were an inevitability, as our species consciousness hasn't quite caught up to it's intellect. The result of that has been the global social-political unrest, wars, greed, subversion, etc. Intelligence can never be truly utilized without the consciousness to perceive it, understand actions taken, and reflect upon potentials as a result of said actions. The result has been a species that still acts impulsively without weighing long term pros and cons beforehand. Case in point, the appalling level of global pollution and ecological devastation we've created. Dumping wastes and slashing forests was seen as quick way of revamping pointless economic systems without giving any thought to later repercussions. So here we are at the crossroads. We either catch up on a conscious level collectively, or join the Dinosaurs.

Enlighten me, how is coming to a conclusion that doesn't fit your perceptions 'dangerous'? What-ever radicalized imagery you're poorly attempting to paint, I would highly suggest you halt here. Don't soil this topic like that.

You could start by quoting me entirely, and not cutting out sections that are inconvenient for you. I haven't cut out any of your material. I guess I'll have to go back and repeat myself. I grow weary of having to do this... You can try and ignore the obvious as much as you'd like, however it doesn't negate the reality of it. Here's the rest of the material you left out. I completely disagree, considering you have been selectively cutting out large portions of my material because you aren't prepared enough to address them. I don't need to make assumptions, as it shows irrefutably that you haven't looked at this subject with any real depth, or done an ounce of research. You can't honestly advise me on open-mindedness and 'cherry pick' sections you feel you can address with some vague and attempted air of knowledge. I feel I've been expressing my thoughts and feelings on the subject quite well, which you've been cutting out and ignoring. I think you're 'off the mark' a little... The broader view I was mentioning has to do with one's conscious ability to mentally 'view' subject matter from afar, rather than looking too narrowly and up close. It's unrelated to your understanding of 'potential'.

I think I should break down what potential is. In life and physicality as we know it, exists an infinite amount of variables. Any seemingly small event can have large effects. Think of it like dropping a pebble into a body of water. At first the ripples are small. Eventually they become larger. Potential comes in when said effects alter the 'path' of a physically manifested object or living being. For example, there could be a leaf floating on top of the body of water. There exists the potential that the pebble you dropped in the water could make enough ripples to push the leaf ashore. There also exists the potential that the leaf just sits there and doesn't move. Maybe you decided not to drop the pebble? Maybe you weren't born and thus were never there to drop the pebble to begin with? Maybe the pebble was dropped, but a wind gust canceled out the ripple effect, and kept the leaf where it was? Potential doesn't have to do with any religious connotations or attempts to steer our species on a sociological level. It's a very real thing that dictates the physical down on the quantum level. Our species is still trying to understand it. Thankfully there have been some rather large advancements in perception thanks to the work of theoretical physicists. So again, check out the cradles of civilization in depth. From there I would suggest gathering what you can in relation to quantum potential/mechanics and string theory. I'm not suggesting these things for the sake of winning an internet debate or attempting to lord over you in some shape or form. This subject is bigger than that, and to be truthful I find it pointless to fixate on trivialities like that. No hard feelings, I'm just trying to convey a deeper understanding to something many take for granted.

It is worse than I thought in terms of having self awareness with which comes emotional awareness and deep understanding of others on both mental and emotional level. Let me explain again. When we make assumptions it means that we sit in others heads assuming that we know what they think. It has nothing to do with your conclusion that something doesn’t fit my perception. You just don’t know what my perception or thoughts are is but you make assumptions that you do and I bet you believe that it is true. :D

I guess you haven’t read my post carefully. I sounds that you want to hear yourself. If you are happy, why I would bother. I would rather spend my time talking to people who are aware and who have done deep research and thought thoroughly. It stands in their posts. It is a big subject and it took me 10+ of very intensive research and I am not going to waste my time having that kind of discussion as I would have to spend hours to write. But if you really knew how deep the rabbit hole is you wouldn’t say what you did. It is as simple as that. Maybe you can stop and contemplate what Socrates said, "I know that I know nothing” When you truly understand the depth of his words, you will be laughing at yourself. ;)

To make an example of posts that reflect a deep and questioning mind is a post of a member on Camelot forum. A real pleasure read. :)

My opinion is that the majority of the most popular channeled stuff is coming from the upper level secret societies, via the military and intelligence groups. They know what people want to hear, but they also have to give it a certain amount of credibility so that people will believe it's genuine, which is not that difficult to do. The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry actually coined the term 'new-age' and are heavily involved with the promotion of certain authors, researchers and spiritual pundits, especially in the context of the greater conspiracy culture.

They basically take the teachings from the old mystery religions, and then re-frame them in a modern science fiction context. Because these teachings contain certain eternal truths which people can relate to, they will always resonate with people on some level, but they've also been designed to appeal to the ego in a number of ways, which is designed to disarm you from being critical about what you're being told. They flatter you and give you lots of positive, promising information about yourself and the world, so that you have no real motivation to deconstruct it or criticize the package you're being sold. It's a very simple technique, which makes people far more open to suggestion than they would otherwise be, so that they're willing to accept the idea that its coming from an extraterrestrial or supernatural being.

There is a huge difference between seeking the truth, and looking for a belief system which caters to your emotional needs though. These channelers are in the business of providing you with a substitute for the truth, be that your own personal truth or the truth of the world. Some of them are just garden variety charlatans who are looking to create their own personal religion, so that they can sell books and DVD's. If you're devious enough, and you study both the literature and the culture, you can make a decent living from churning out 'channeled' books and doing speaking engagements to hoards of new-agers. If you're spouting the right stuff, and show an ability to influence people, you might even get promoted by those behind the scenes.

However, some of these characters are definitely paid agents of the establishment, bought and paid for from day one; who have been specifically sent out to create mystery and confusion. I also believe that many of these big time channelers who've put out popular books and the like, are there to break down the old religious and political beliefs, and promote new ones which better suit the global agenda - despite the fact that they claim to be part of the 'truth movement' and frequently criticize the elite. A few of them are no doubt unwitting pawns who are being subjected to various forms of mind control and psychological manipulation. Same goes for these forums and websites, the biggest of which are run by the military and/or intelligence organizations. They have plenty of agents pretending to be 'channelers' or 'experiencers', who are really there to try and form little cults, or to simply create an environment of mental chaos among the followers. We all saw a similar scenario with the whole 'Charles' fiasco over at Avalon, where people totally lost their bearings on reality. Either way, they get to keep tabs on everybody, and it helps them tap the pulse and figure out where people are at.

Obviously, fascination is a big part of this process too, as people love to be mystified and will often consider anything that promises mystery and excitement, providing it's presented in the right way. These channelers take little snippets of truth and popular belief, and then expand on them until an entire imaginary universe has been created. They take ideas and possibilities which have already been built up in the mind over generations, tapping into the reservoir of mystical tradition, and injecting those themes into a plausible sounding narrative which people will want to believe. All of the metaphysical and supernatural suggestion that people have been previously subjected to, is presented in a context that gives it credibility and appeal. In truth - a great deal of this stuff is laughably obvious when you really look at it with a critical eye - as it has come straight out of science fiction films and TV-shows. Just about every one of these channelers or 'whistleblowers' that I've seen promoting new-age, conspiracy and UFO-type material, is making claims that can be traced directly back to a science fiction franchise or idea.

A lot of the time though, it is simply a case of people leaving an orthodox religion like christianity or atheism because it isn't making sense or fulfilling them anymore. They go looking for answers and alternatives in the truth movement/alternative media, and often the first thing that pops up are these channelers and new-age guru types, who offer them new beliefs within a familiar structure. They're really just shopping for a new religion to join, and these pundits give them the same comforts and basic identity that they're used to, so they don't have to progress spiritually at all. Again, many of these characters are well funded agents who are deliberately working to keep people distracted with mystery and fantasy; to prevent them from honestly looking at themselves.
The power elite have been doing this for ages, by sending out people like Crowley and other frontmen to enchant the public and encourage all kinds of beliefs and practices, most of which are simply homogenized, diluted versions of the old mystery school teachings - presented in quasi-scientific language. The basic techniques of persuasion, whereby you can establish an entirely new reality, are quite simple when the process is followed properly. These channelers are basically just taking all of those old mystery doctrines, and changing the details to suit a modern audience. They're being tailored specifically to fit a more scientifically inclined culture, with just the right balance between sensationalism and plausibility. Instead of the spirits and mythological entities of old, they're channeling aliens from galactic federations. Whatever is in the realm of scientific plausibility or popular metaphysical acceptance.

All in all, this stuff has always been designed to send us off down paths of intrigue and mystique, and keep us engaged in belief systems which fire the imagination and appease the ego, but prevent us from transcending our programming and uncovering real truth. It's what Neil Armstrong might call ''truth's protective layers'', and there are indeed many layers protecting truth. Even those in the secret societies are only given a version of mystical doctrine that is appropriate for their rank and seniority. Some of them are right into it all though, they really do believe that they, or those in their occult circles are channeling entities. Whether it's real or imaginary, it's been a popular pastime for secret society members throughout ages.
don't discount the possibility of telepathic contact in this context, nor do I claim that metaphysical experiences like this are not 'real'. One has to admit the possibility that some of these channelers are genuine, but I've yet to see one that isn't pushing a covert or suspicious agenda. It doesn't really matter which ones you follow, because they're all using the same rhetoric and promoting the same kind of mindset. The basic doctrine and mystical themes have all come from fiction and religion, whether they claim it's about star-gates, extraterrestrial shaman, or the spirits of those who have died.

All you can really go on is your own personal experience. Otherwise you are accepting these claims on pure faith, and are in all likelihood being used in someone else's agenda.

Hey, martg be gentle with yourself. ;) But I know what you mean and I can laugh about it today. I was stupid too. :chuckle:
I think that mind control is complete when people are fooled by awakening, shift of consciousness, ascension or another new age BS not seeing that the world is totally failing apart. I see it as an adult version of Cinderella story. Good excuse to be Peter Pan forever.
On the other hand, I would be far from denying the influence of, let's say, interdimensional entities. I don’t believe in John Lash’s interpretation. He doesn’t want to say what scholars who studied Gnosticism in depth were saying. Mythology and ancient religions all over the world are taking about external influences. Only name differ.

Well, reaching high potential is a new age propaganda. Very convenient to keep people in line dreaming that they will reach heights….without doing anything. Well, it is Peter Pan or Cinderella mentality that those who rule us want to impose upon us. Unfortunately, many chose illusion......it tastes better and no any effort is required.

I am surprised that you still believe it. Reaching a primal creativity has been my passion and interest but it is not easy and requires lots of emotional work.

I've stated several times that the concepts I'm talking about are unrelated. You ignore my solidifying posts by cutting them out and going off onto irrelevant tangents. You are creating assumptions of influence on an unproven group of entities from a different dimension. How does that make any remote hint of sense? Contradictions pal, contradictions. I'm sourcing tangible material, the same material you've been cutting out because you have no frame of reference. So, suffice to say based upon the above, I'm not exactly making baseless assumptions.
I completely disagree, considering you have been selectively cutting out large portions of my material because you aren’t prepared enough to address them. I don’t need to make assumptions, as it shows irrefutably that you haven’t looked at this subject with any real depth, or done an ounce of research. You can’t honestly advise me on open-mindedness and ‘cherry pick’ sections you feel you can address with some vague and attempted air of knowledge. I feel I’ve been expressing my thoughts and feelings on the subject quite well, which you’ve been cutting out and ignoring. I think you’re ‘off the mark’ a little… The broader view I was mentioning has to do with one’s conscious ability to mentally ‘view’ subject matter from afar, rather than looking too narrowly and up close. It’s unrelated to your understanding of ‘potential’.
Maybe you can stop and contemplate what Socrates said, "I know that I know nothing” When you truly understand the depth of his words, you will be laughing at yourself. ;)

I've read your posts extremely carefully, and directly responded to every bit of them without the need to selectively cut out what doesn't suit me. Ironically you've done just that. If I wanted to 'hear myself' I'd buy a digital recorder. I'd take your critique of my posts into consideration if there were any hint of constructiveness in it. You're just attempting to strike at me because you again have no frame of reference. It's obvious you haven't done 10+ years of research on this subject (I doubt any subject for that matter), otherwise you would not attempt to ridicule a subject based upon vague interpretations from taking a few glances at pop culture. That's not research or the critical thinking you hit on previously. Yet more contradictions. At what point did I proclaim to be the most intelligent being on the planet? If I knew everything, I wouldn't research material constantly, nor would I bother to contemplate them. I would have no reason for posting in this thread to begin with.

While I appreciate the entry from the user from Avalon, I don't feel it's remotely relevant to this topic. You're comparing apples to boulders. I suggest moving on to a topic more your speed, or actually taking the time to research a subject for once. Either way, it'll save you from looking like an ass in the future.

No worries, Mart! I did not feel as though you were taking a dig at me, not at all. And thanks for the video. I recognise the Miss Colleen in the still (not so sure about that lady). I shall watch it soon!

Yes indeed, the world is weird and its time for it all to come from outta the closet.

It seems completely batty, but what happened with that missile in the RT video is not an isolated event. After the A bombs that were used on Japan, there has been some rather heavy monitoring of our species. Someone doesn't want us to fuck up the garden again. Whether or not it's 'Pleadians' remains to be seen.

Why thank you, Mista! :)

Glad we see eye-to-eye on this and I completely agree with what you have stated here.

And I do not mean to be morbid, but your last line ...

So here we are at the crossroads. We either catch up on a conscious level collectively, or join the Dinosaurs

....reminded me of this ...
