Not much has happened with the band this year, only few gigs, some new songs, no new release out yet... Everybody has been busy with their lives, work and school, girlfriends and what not. But I've been busy with music related stuff. My financial situation has improved so much I was finally able to switch to new drumkit and get all sort of decent drumgear. And there's more to come, hardcases, mics, analog mixed, sound board and so on and all that takes all the money I can put into it.
I also finally started my solo project / band thing. I have long wanted to have something to call my own, something on which I call all the shots. I got one song finished, second one is about halfway done and there's a intro for a third one. I'm planning a recording and release of the first demo hopefully early next year. The deadline will bend of course like it always does but soon I'll have few months off work so I plan to use that time for writing music and rehearsing. I have also joined a Finnish black metal band as a live drummer. (Their drummer does vocals at gigs and plays also drums on record so he needs somebody to do the drumming so he can do the vocals without hassle.)
Anyway, I have updated my drums. I hereby present to you the Chrome Lich, metal monstrosity of yesteryear, the very essence of old school heavy metal drum sound. Drumset can't get more 80's than this as this is THE real deal. The chrome finish is custom stuff, Yamaha never made these things with it.
