Self-sufficiency is the state of not requiring any aid, support, or interaction, for survival; it is therefore a type of personal or collective autonomy. I have drawn this conclusion from the fact that of the billions of pictures he could possibly have used for his avatar, he happens to have used one that Mike used previously. That's why I haven't read this thread, or any of posts.

It could be a statistically incredible coincidence, of course.

I have admiration for anybody that is interested in self-sufficiency, survival in the wild and raising awareness about how to survive and help others survive natural disasters.
