Yeah look i can appreciate that, we are all coming from a different place in the time line now....some got to have their say and some havent yet.

To be frank i think a vote on whether to close the rumors thread or not, would result in a vote for closure. However i understand that this would mostly be because the members that have been here a while, have been through the process. So a vote in favour of closing the thread isnt necessarily a fair thing either perhaps despite being democratic, especially to new members. I can see that.

I assume then you would like that thread re opened and have some things to say?

The issue from our POV is that on one hand we are getting asked to lock it , and on the other hand people want it open.

At least we are talking about the decision openly though. We may have to review the decision to lock that rumors thread.

Hi Frank...stop confusing me :bat:

Basically what Ab Origine wrote.

It doesn't bother me either which way as to whether it's opened when it comes down to it I could use chat as andyh suggested but if the opportunity arrives where someones says something I could respond.

Maybe one thread where that can be all said and done?

You could have dif peep's coming over on purpose just to start up threads against dif here thereby making this place sound like IL forum which became tarnished as just a bash icke forum by the PTB at dif.

Its probably no surprise my views on the numerous posts related to the DIF. When I first landed here I was a bit surprised by the amount of discussion going on about it. So much so, that in the early days I thought about moving out of here. Its my opinion that so much discussion about it in a negative manner, experiences over there and such, held this site back form developing its own positve impact on the net.
I would rather let all the dif stuff away, and leave it behind us. But if folks want to stay with the dif flow, far be it from me to tell them what and what not to discuss, there was enough of that over the other side, so whatever floats your boat.
Just my couple of dinaries worth.

I agree with your post and the part bolded stands out for me.

We have a thread started by phemohilia in General, called 'The David Icke Forum'

However now we also have the rumors thread. Perhaps a merge is in order, along with a few extra stray threads i am aware of, and the thread reopened?

Thoughts people?

Sounds like a good plan to me. But then, I didn't contribute to any of those threads, so maybe I should just mind my own beeswax. :emb:

For perspective:
Even dif stopped talking about dif, locked the thread and it's halfway down page 3 atm.

I'm a little bit sick of the DIF threads..so think.one thread containing all DIF topics should really be enough.

I think that new members should be able to have their say about the DIF .....As we, the first members had that chance...so should they.

Perhaps a bit too messy a thread would come out of merging them all. A D.I. sub-forum? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the page.

Sounds good to me.

I just don't want new members feeling like they can't talk about DIF...It smacks of double standards. We vented and got it out of our system..they should feel free to do the same.

Beginning to sound more promising...

And if newcomers don't post in it then they can expect mods to move it without taking a vote on it I hope? :)

We have a researchers category to discuss their work...not sure if the forum fits into that though.

But a David Icke category on its own... i dont agree tbh. One one hand you guys are talking about being a bit tired of all the DIF stuff, and then we are going to go give it its own category?

I think the mega thread idea is fine, people can have their say, and its all there. Its in General. I agree with pheony and others on this.

Besides i have merged some of the threads now, myself and diamondgeezer made the call.

my 2c.

Ofc we're tired of it, but some folk just can't let go can they? :)

This whole vote was basically to make the point that it is far from just 'a few' who are sick of DIF threads.
Its not to take any action on that but perhaps this majority feeling ought to be taken into consideration before we lose members over it before long.
