I agree with knob in the sense that the members area is intended for the GENUINE members we know well, not for anyone who cares to make an account and go spying. Not like you to miss the obvious there sketts.

If people don't post then there's no loss as they're not interested in participating, they can still see the public areas which remains the intent.

Not everyone is a troll and more importantly, not everyone who joins a forum joins in to start with.

I could see this being a point if for example someone signed up then continually logged in and said fuck all... that would make the points being made, valid.... but if someone signs up and is only here occasionally yet still says nothing, what's the problem with that? And why would we boot them for that?

If someone signs up but doesn't bother to post then why would they bother to have any good natured intent or purpose for reading the private section too?
You don't have to 'boot' them either, all that was mentioned was merely keeping members section for genuine members, 0 posts is anything but genuine and we've no idea who they are or what opinions they have if they don't discuss it and if they don't discuss anything whats the point in bothering with them?
