Both of which can be accessed by new and existing members, new members will not have any other access to the rest of SZ until they have been seen as genuine for a period, this can be based on their posts towards existing members and other newcomers...

Once they have satisfied the general population then they could be included to the rest of SZ via being nominated by a member to the facilitators, perhaps we could say three nominations would be enough ?

Hardly going to stop them being a twat afterwards is it?

Well no but it's going to stop people that turn up to be disruptive, from accessing the main forum, I guess some would get through, but it's a measure to weed quite a lot out, tbh it's not working how it is if their turning up so often.

I assume a month in the arrivals sub forum if one existed, would provide existing members with an option to delete them, without keeping to have polls debates etc etc etc

I think it would, because that bored individual who wants to troll and criticise posts would have limited access until they've been approved, it means that they'd have to spend a lot of time behaving before they'd be able to misbehave thus, they would have wasted their time behaving, they would have spent perhaps a month behaving to then simply get banned, where presently they could turn up be chatty nice for a day or two and then start misbehaving.

But as I say it's only an idea, I think it would work, but obviously its not a popular idea.

The community have had a vote (which YOU took part in) and we reached a majority on it.
Now it will get implemented.

Right now is not the time to be starting going on about some other ideas about what to do, the time to do that was back when the vote was implemented.

To continually get involved with these particular type threads with stuff thats not related to what we are doing at the time is actually known as trolling. And the sort of trolls we have biggest issue with eg merv or mike are only too patient enough to put up with a temporary sub-forum spell because they keep coming back again and again and again and again and the likes of myself and feather have been here for a hell of a long time, a LOT longer than yourself, which is why we are pissed off with your attitude and constant bullshit.
I'm beginning to wonder why we bothered voting you back in, you certainly don't appreciate it.

If you want some separate new ideas implementing then start a new vote on it in a new thread and fuck off trying to divert this one.

I'm just suggesting another system, the votes on this poll thing have been cast, their still as you point out yourself not 33% 66% or whatever in relation to the problems.

So the way I see it, we do that thing that Einstein says is madness, ''doing the same thing over & over and expecting different results'' or we do nothing or we change it....

I'm not trolling I'm actually proposing a possible solution to a lot of the trolling that occurs.

This thread is called 'spring clean' right, and I'm discussing ways of cleaning out trolls, so I'm on topic, just I'm looking beyond the polls a little bit, don't we need something else, do we want to be polling the pros can cons of banning barnfish/wolfy poll after poll, I can only see two solutions.
1) let them all in
2) change what were doing as they're getting in and its not working.

I'm making this post in good faith, an idea I had about the new comers sub forum, was just a suggestion, IDK if it would work for sure, at least it's not simply repeating what's going to be happening, the same polls everytime.

@andyh yes ive had my vote and accept the decision, I'm not trying to press through change, it's only an idea, ok it's been dismissed, that's fair enough.
btw we need to bare in mind a lot of the polls only have 20 votes or less, including the facilitators.

It seems that the rest of the members dgaf?

Not really, I'm not accusing anyone of anything, it's a probationary period like what happens at some work places etc.... they just wanna make sure your ok ,and wanna be able to fuck bad workers off no bother if they aint, no good, without demonstration.

Yes there's not that many SZ regulars despite the DIF influx, nor are there that many new incoming genuine members.
Most of them are either mike or merv, its as simple as that, we know thats the case because we've been here a long time and thats all thats basically happened. The votes have been done and the decision has already been made.
0 post members will be removed shortly and automatic signups have been disabled, now they go through the admins for checking before being made active.
Just those 2 actions alone should make all the difference needed, if the egits pop up again despite the changes then the mods will just re-ban where necessary.
Thats it, thats what was decided on and thats what will happen, any further posts in this thread are basically now pointless.

It's about time you realised that stoking the troll fire and blowing the flames in my direction may seem clever, however not for those of us who know how such things are presented.
I was simply posting an idea on a thread about cleaning SZ in relation to socks trolls, as an idea, an idea that is not off topic, you're trolling my idea and you're presenting it as my issue, when the issue is all to clearly yours.

It's why I guess most of the others that came over from DIF about the same time as me, keep away from these threads, they don't want to be cyber bullied by old trolls to look like new trolls...
