Everything being turned into a personal battle is quite boring to me. I only come here to talk to the people that are my friends, post some useful information and offer an occasional opinion on something. I'm not interested in any ding-dong battles with people. It does matter to me that people respect the ethos of the site, because lots of people (a) have left because this hasn't happened, and (b) have put a lot of selfless time and money into keeping it going. You're not one of those people. I have made a very minor contribution and aren't really one of those people either.

There's absolutely no guarantee that it will keep going if people behave like idiots, at which point you could go back to the DIF and post similar stuff here as you have here. I could go back there too, as I haven't been banned, but I'm not going to, as I left there because this site is supposed to be different. It's supposed to be about respecting other people's opinions, not implying that others are 'crazy', 'absurd' and 'gullible'. Not having long, pointless, childish running battles. For example, 'Sketts has put in literally days of her time, and moderated the site, and the site wouldn't exist without her, and is now sick of the arguing and backbiting and poor attitude of certain people, and doesn't want to moderate it any more. Maybe someone will take over, maybe they won't. Maybe someone will continue to fund the site, maybe they won't. I don't think we need to hold our breath waiting for you to do it, though, do we?

I spend a lot less time here than many, but far more than I should. I could and should be writing right now for money rather than posting here for nothing. And I'm perfectly happy to leave if this is not appreciated. And there won't be any point in staying if any more of the good people are driven away than the literally dozens that have been already. I know you don't care, that's fine. Some people will read this who do care.
