My personal position is that I'm aware that lies have been told and that those lies are used as political devices in the same way as many other fictions such as 9-11 or WMD's etc. All you can do on a personal level is add that into the mix when drawing your own conclusions. I'm certainly not going to shy away from the topic because people with extreme views would rather the subject was not discussed. In fact it was reading the views of the people defending the official story that caused me to look deeper, not the extremists at the other end of the scale.
