To suggest that I "offered a soapbox" to racists is not only an absolutely barefaced completely baseless lie, it is also potentially libelous. If you think you can go around making completely malicious accusations about people based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever, guess again. Furthermore, I would like the community as a whole to have a look at what you've posted here and give their opinion on whether it's acceptable for someone to make slanderous, baseless accusations about another person without any evidence, in fact the evidence points to the complete opposite. I would love to hear other people's opinions, but if people think it's fine for someone to state that I "gave a soapbox" to Nazis when this is absolutely, emphatically untrue, then I will seriously consider whether I wish to be part of the site any more.

I realise you lightly toss around such accusations like confetti, however, I take the matter of being accused of being a racist rather seriously.

for what it is worth I am not of the belief that anyone here wishes to give a soap box to racists and anti semites - from what I have read people here seem to want to genuinely discuss issues without either the anti semitism and racism that comes from one side and the pointing out of said racism and anti semitism from the other - I am in agreement with that - I would love to not read and then feel a need to point out anti semitism and racism - I would enjoy talking about such issues without it - as that way discussion can move on.

@mushy I do think you went too far in your statement about people here giving soapboxes to the sorts of posters aforementioned - I really do not think that it is correct - infact it is rather offensive imho.

So much BS, so much lies, so much verbal bile... Have you guys noticed a trend? Every single time DIF is brought up in here, specially when it's with some association with racism, nazism, anti-semitism, the resulting thread seems to ALWAYS be chaotic assortment of decent posts and at least one poster going on a BS frenzy.

I think this little trend is quite telling...

How they apply that and rationalise it is entirely up to the individuals interpretation - which could be affected due to any number of reasons such as but not limited to...personal bias, prejudice and life experience etc.

I guess ultimately it can mean whatever the you want it to mean. Some people may paint a picture with a purple sky, even though others observing the same scene may see that sky as blue. In this instance the person I was addressing seems to have managed to interpret it as it was intended by me.

Why do you automatically assume the Israeli flag has to mean full support for everything the Israeli govt does? Every time you see someone wave any national flag do you start quizzing them about all the bad things their govt has done? Do you get like this every time you see the stars and stripes? If not, why not?
