This is in the comments section on the article about this winsor chap getting the boss job:

"243.

As a serving Police Sergeant in a busy inner city area I'm disgusted! Its about time the public started to wake up and smell the coffee, the government, for whom I voted for incidentally, are slowly wrecking your police service. We are sinking and crime will go up and up....I'm dreading this summer as we can longer cope with losing so many officers. This decision smacks of 'jobs for the boys'!!"

245.
"You
Just now

@243 andy. This stuff isn't just limited to you boys and gals.
They're at it in EVERY walk of life.
Will you boys and gals be joining us when the uprising kicks in or will you be kettling us and whacking us with norty sticks?

And that's a genuine question"

Let's see how he answers :)

So far it would appear to have been too deep a question for him to answer...........

I eagerly await the outcome of the cog spinning :)

I'll be interested in seeing if he responds. It appears, at least over there, that they're starting to see that their pay masters have no love for them either.

OK perhaps andy (post 243) has gone for lunch so can I open up post #245 to any other boys or gals in blue to give a view on please?

I know you're here :) You've had plenty to say (justifiably) so far.

At what point will you be convinced that the protestors have a point that the State seeks to deny by painting us as terrorists? When you're unemployed? When G4S kettles you on a picket line??"

;)

I hope you get an answer from andy.

G4S are bidding to run the police - Mr Winsor works for the Legal Firm advising G4S on the tenders

Mr Winsor creates a report for the government to reduce police pay and conditions just in time for Mr Winsor's legal firm to be employed by G4S to advise them on the police tendering process and then the Same Mr Winsor to decide to award G4S the contracts (via his legal firm) - all sewn up nicely"

Not one single member of the police force thought my question #245 worthy of answering. In fact, not a single one has posted since I asked it that I can see.

I AM DISAPPOINT :)

I am sooooo enjoying being back at the BBC. They banned dub aeons ago, which is when NBOG was born. NBOG got smited for a long time but was recently allowed back. Good old NBOG has been having fun ever since hahaha. Soon to be smited once more no doubt.

Please take that as a genuine question."

@408 Getitstraight. Ty 4 your reply.

I'm not suggesting you join us in civil unrest but will it change your view of protests by say students? Teachers etc?
Most protestors are non violent but the tactics you are told to employ are not. So when the protests spread, are you not presented with a moral dilemma considering you are now in the same boat?"

There was nothing about the Winsor review that was independant. He was hand picked by Theresa May to do as she said and his reward was the HMIC job.

Winsor works for the firm of solicitors who are negotiating the G4S contracts to privatise the police. Prudential are a major shareholder of G4S. Theresa May has a number of shares with Prudential. Both Winsor and May stand to make a lot of money."

@415 Noel Blake. I have no problem with demonstrations and marches - 20,000 of us marched last month. The problems arise when these marches are hijacked by a small number of people who feel that a protest without violence does not have enough publicity. We proved that wrong & we were policed like everyone else. So I have no moral dilemma - peaceful marches good, throwing stuff to make a point bad"

"438.
You

@415 Getitstraight.
Fair comment but I have never thrown a rock and have been thwacked many times. Many kettled protestors would say similar. I was thwacked when patiently waiting to lobby my MP! So your stance is invalid in my book. By all means arrest hoodlums but you're used to quell dissent about things like Corporatization etc. Can you see what I am getting at?"

I'm enjoying this haha

He's kind of swerved that one at the moment.....The BBC has a one post every 10 minutes rule and he's just used his last post to comment on something unrelated and pretty inane.....Perhaps he is a DIF member ;)

Interesting that quite a few 50 have been and now are on that thread complaining at this step toward corporatization of the police "service" but when you point out that they're used to defend corporatization with violence.............tumbleweed.

EDIT: a reply,

"455.
Getitstraight

@438 Noel Blake. I can't comment on your personal experience nor can I comment on actions of colleagues when I wasn't there. Unfortunately the actions of a violent few result in innocent people being caught up in the resulting melee and that's never good."

Shame I just posted this and now have to wait 10 minutes to respond:

"458.
You
Just now

It would seem that the Police are not happy at this step toward a corporate Police service but are not yet willing to consider that they are used by the State to defend Corporatization on the wider scale. Often with violence against peaceful protestors.
Some form of cognitive dissonance may well be involved...."

Still I guess that is a response in a way hahaha. Next post will be on the subject of Agent Provocateurs put in protests by the state :)

@455 GetitStraight.
Police have the choice who to thwack at a protest. Why thwack innocents?
I have personally seen Agent Provocateurs at protests, smash windows and then go behind police lines. There are even videos online of these people. The State puts these APs in marches to cause trouble. Then Innocents get thwacked and the march is discredited. It's an age old tactic of the State."
